(ב"ר פמ"ז א') ויאמר אלקים "שרי "אשתך (בראשית יז טו), כתיב (משלי יב ד) אשת חיל וכו'. ר' אחא ורבנן באו לפרש תיבת "שרי "אשתך המיותרין, על כן דרשו שהש"י אמר לו שרי אשתך דייקא, היא משונה מכל נשי עולם:

(ב"ר פמ"ז ט') נמול אברהם וכו' (בראשית יז כו), הרגיש ונצטער וכו'. "מנימול "קדריש, דהוה ליה למימר מל אברהם. אך להורות שהרגיש צער גדול. ור' לוי דרש בהיפך מנימול, אמר אברהם עד שלא מלתי וכו', הה"ד (בראשית יח א) וירא אליו וכו'. סמוכין קא דריש מדלא התחיל וירא י"י אל אברהם, רק קאי על תיבת (אברהם) שבפרשה שלמעלה, שמע מינה שהתראות הש"י אליו היה בעבור עסקי המילה, נ"ל. כאן שייך מאמר ואת בריתי כו', והוא בכתבים הנ"ל דף ז' ע"א:
