ויזכר אלקים וכו' (בראשית ח א), כל הענין עיין ברבה:

דבר אחר ויזכור אלקים את נח, זה שאמר הכתוב (משלי יב י) יודע צדיק נפש וכו', אפילו כשהוא כועס וכו' בשר ודם וכו', ואין שם אלא צדיק אחד וכו'. הכוונה נ"ל לתרץ ענין הזכירה, וכי עד עכשיו היה שכוח ח"ו ומסולק השגחה, הרי לא יתקיים כרגע. אך הוא שמשמיענו ראה מה מאוד גדלו רחמיו ית', הגם שהיה אנדרלמוסיא כזאת בעולם, עם כל זה לא יצא על הכלל כולו, וזכר לצדיק הזה והשגיח עליו בעין החמלה:

ויחלק עליהם לילה וכו' (בראשית יד טו). והי' זה יצא לרדוף י"ו מלכים, איני יודע מה הן י"ו מלכים. והנראה דט"ס וצ"ל ט"ו מלכים, וכן הוא לקמן פרק ט"ו, ויצא לו מדכתיב (בראשית יד ט) את כדרלעומר וכו', ריבוי הא"ת מרבה שהיה עם כדרלעומר עוד מלך אחד, ארבעה מלכים א"ת ה', ריבוי הא"ת מרבה עוד ה' טפלים אליהם, נמצא היה עם אמרפל וחביריו סך הכל ה' מלכים, ומלכי סדום היו עשרה סך הכל ט"ו, ויתר הדברים מבוארים במדרשים הנ"ל:
