כתבתי במקום אחר מה ששמעתי ממורי ענין פינחס ויקח רומח בידו, דכתוב בזוהר (פ' פינחס דרל"ז ע"א) חמא אות **מ** וגו', וכשהמלכות בלי יחוד הוא דין אש תכלא, ועל ידי יחוד נעשה רחמים וכו' והרגיש זה, ומיד על ידי מחשבה זו נעשה חיבור רומח וכו', כי במחשבה זו נתחבר ב' מדות אני ה', שהוא ייחוד קודשא בריך הוא ושכינתיה ונעשה רחמים וכו, כי ר"ח הוא מספר יצחק וכו', שידעו כאשר עלה על מחשבתן איזה מחשבה זרה, הרגישו שהוא מצד מלכות שאינה ביחוד והוא **מ'** ומיד על ידי מחשבה זו נתחבר **מ** עם **רח** ונעשה **רמח** וכו', ועל ידי האמנה נעשה רומח וכו' שעשה פינחס וכו':

The Zohar says: “He saw the letter *mem*, etc.” For *Malchus* without unification becomes Judgment – a consuming fire. But by means of the unification, it becomes compassion. Pinchas felt this, and immediately made the unification of “*romach*” in his mind, joining the two attributes: “I am G‑d,”¹³ – is a name for *Malchus*. “G‑d” – Y-H-V-H – is the Name related to *Tiferes*. The repair of *Malchus* occurs when it rises out of the impure shells and unites with *Tiferes*. which is the union of the Holy One and the Shechina. This creates compassion. For the letters *reish ches* have the numerical value of the name “Isaac.” People should realize that extraneous thoughts come from *Malchus*, which is the letter *mem*, not being in union. And they should at once join the *mem* to *reish ches*in their thoughts, to create *RMCh,*and through faith, it becomes*romach*, as Pinchas did.
