**עבודה** שבלב ביראה הוא הפעולה הגדולה להרחיק התאוות בכל היום. והמשל למי שרוצה לגלגל ולהרחיק עץ כבד שאם ידחפנו באמצעו ירחיקנו בדחיפה קלה. משא"כ אם ידחפנו בקצהו הא' יכבד עליו מאוד להרחיק. ולא עוד אלא שבזה שמרחיק קצהו הא' יתקרב למולו קצהו השני והנמשל מובן שהלב הוא אמצעות כל האברים:

**עבודה** שבלב בענוה. מוליכה את האדם בכל דרכיו בדרך האמת. והגם לבו בהוראה אינו אלא שוטה. שבוודאי ההוראה אינה לאמיתתה של תורה. כי התורה נמשלה למים ואף שיוצאין ממקור נאמן כשהולכין אח"כ דרך רפש וטיט בוודאי שהמים יהיו מעורבים ועכורים והענוה מטהרת ומתקנת כל המדות כידוע:

**ולכן** כל סדר היום תלוי בעבודה שבלב. ואין בכלל אלא מה שבפרט. ואל יפול לב האדם בעבודה שבלב זו תפלה ולא יבלבל א"ע בחשבון סדר היום שעבר שדבר זה נידון בפרט תחלה והדר כלל ונעשה כלל מוסיף על הפרט. ואהני פרטא בשברון לב לאלומי כללא דבתריה. והמשל להולך בדרך ולמפרש בים שבעת נסיעתו מזרז א"ע הלוך ונסוע ואינו משגיח בעת נסיעתו בכלי הנסיעה אך בעת בואו למלון מתקן כל כלי נסיעתו שיהיו טובים וזה רמוז במשנה קלפה של חשבונות היתה תלויה חוץ לירושלים:
