(קה) פַּעַם אַחַת אָמַר לִי כְּשֶׁהָיִיתִי עוֹמֵד לְבַד לְפָנָיו, אֵלִיָּהוּ מִלֵּא לִבּוֹ וְקָרָא לְהַקָּדוֹשׁ־בָּרוּךְ־ הוּא עִלַּת כָּל הָעִלּוֹת וְסִבַּת כָּל הַסִּבּוֹת, וְאָמַר בִּלְשׁוֹן אַשְׁכְּנַז בְּזֶה הַלָּשׁוֹן שֶׁהוּא דֶער וֵוייגֶענִישׁ. וְאֵינִי יוֹדֵעַ פֵּרוּשׁוֹ שֶׁל דָּבָר הֵיטֵב.

**Sefaria Community Translation:**
Once when I was alone with the Rebbe he said to me, “Elijah’s heart welled up inside him and he called God, ‘Cause of all causes and Means of all means.’” The Rebbe added in Yiddish, “He is der veigenish, the Path”—but I do not know exactly what he meant.
