**צדיקים אומרים מעט ועושין הרבה.** ודרכם כשמזמינים אדם אומרים לתת לו מעט הלכך לא הויא טיפת צונן הפלגה:

**אלא כעין ארבעה נדרים.** עד שימצא לו פתח שיאמר אדעתא דהכי לא נדרי ונמצא שלא היה מעולם נדר כמו ד' נדרים הללו שלא היה בלבו לשום נדר:

**ורב הונא סבר פותחין בחרטה.** פירוש בחרטה (פי') כל דהו רק שיאמר שהוא מתחרט מעצמו ורוצה היה שלא נדר מעולם ואין צריך שימצא לו החכם פתח לומר אדעתא דהכי נדרת:

**א"ל לבך עלך.** אותו לב שהיה לך כשנדרת ישנו עדיין עליך ואינך מתחרט על מה שנדרת:

**אמר ליה לא.** מתחרט אני מעיקרא על מה שנדרתי:

**אילו היו עשרה בני אדם שיפייסוך כו'.** כלומר שמפייסין אותך עתה:

**קסבר אין פותחין בחרטה.** מדהוצרך למצוא לו פתח זה ונולד לא הוי כי מצוי הוא שיקפידו קרוביו ואוהביו של אדם על מה שנדר:

**תניא ר' יהודה אומר אומרים כו'.** מייתי ברייתא דפליגי תנאי בפלוגתא דהנך אמוראי רבי יהודה דאמר אמרינן לו לבך עלך כרב הונא ורבי ישמעאל כרבה בר רב הונא והוה ליה כתנאי אלא דלשון נדרים משונה:
