## Ezekiel Chapter 25

###### Ezekiel 25:1

וַיְהִ֥י דְבַר־יְהֹוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,


###### Ezekiel 25:2

בֶּן־אָדָ֕ם שִׂ֥ים פָּנֶ֖יךָ אֶל־בְּנֵ֣י עַמּ֑וֹן וְהִנָּבֵ֖א עֲלֵיהֶֽם׃

Son of man, set thy face against the children of ῾Ammon, and prophesy against them;


###### Ezekiel 25:3

וְאָֽמַרְתָּ֙ לִבְנֵ֣י עַמּ֔וֹן שִׁמְע֖וּ דְּבַר־אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִ֑ה כֹּה־אָמַ֣ר אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִ֡ה יַ֩עַן֩ אׇמְרֵ֨ךְ הֶאָ֜ח אֶל־מִקְדָּשִׁ֣י כִי־נִחָ֗ל וְאֶל־אַדְמַ֤ת יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ כִּ֣י נָשַׁ֔מָּה וְאֶל־בֵּ֣ית יְהוּדָ֔ה כִּ֥י הָלְכ֖וּ בַּגּוֹלָֽה׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
and say to the children of ῾Ammon, Hear the word of the Lord God; Because thou didst say Aha, against my sanctuary, when it was profaned; and against the land of Yisra᾽el, when it was made desolate; and against the house of Yehuda, when they went into exile;

לָכֵ֡ן הִנְנִי֩ נֹתְנָ֨ךְ לִבְנֵי־קֶ֜דֶם לְמוֹרָשָׁ֗ה וְיִשְּׁב֤וּ טִירֽוֹתֵיהֶם֙ בָּ֔ךְ וְנָ֥תְנוּ בָ֖ךְ מִשְׁכְּנֵיהֶ֑ם הֵ֚מָּה יֹאכְל֣וּ פִרְיֵ֔ךְ וְהֵ֖מָּה יִשְׁתּ֥וּ חֲלָבֵֽךְ׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
behold, therefore I will deliver thee to the men of the east for a possession, and they shall set their palaces in thee, and make their dwellings in thee; they shall eat thy fruit, and they shall drink thy milk.

וְנָתַתִּ֤י אֶת־רַבָּה֙ לִנְוֵ֣ה גְמַלִּ֔ים וְאֶת־בְּנֵ֥י עַמּ֖וֹן לְמִרְבַּץ־צֹ֑אן וִידַעְתֶּ֖ם כִּי־אֲנִ֥י יְהֹוָֽה׃{פ}

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
And I will make Rabba a pasture for camels, and the children of ῾Ammon a couching place for flocks: and you shall know that I am the Lord.


###### Ezekiel 25:6

כִּ֣י כֹ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִ֔ה יַ֚עַן מַחְאֲךָ֣ יָ֔ד וְרַקְעֲךָ֖ בְּרָ֑גֶל וַתִּשְׂמַ֤ח בְּכׇל־שָֽׁאטְךָ֙ בְּנֶ֔פֶשׁ אֶל־אַדְמַ֖ת יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

For thus says the Lord God; Because thou hast clapped thy hands, and stamped with the feet, and rejoiced with all the disdain of thy soul against the land of Yisra᾽el;

לָכֵ֡ן הִנְנִי֩ נָטִ֨יתִי אֶת־יָדִ֜י עָלֶ֗יךָ וּנְתַתִּ֤יךָֽ (לבג) [לְבַז֙] לַגּוֹיִ֔ם וְהִכְרַתִּ֙יךָ֙ מִן־הָ֣עַמִּ֔ים וְהַאֲבַדְתִּ֖יךָ מִן־הָאֲרָצ֑וֹת אַשְׁמִ֣ידְךָ֔ וְיָדַעְתָּ֖ כִּֽי־אֲנִ֥י יְהֹוָֽה׃{פ}

behold, therefore I have stretched out my hand upon thee, and I will deliver thee for a spoil to the nations; and I will cut thee off from the peoples, and I will cause thee to perish out of the countries: I will destroy thee; and thou shalt know that I am the Lord.

כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֖ר אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִ֑ה יַ֗עַן אֲמֹ֤ר מוֹאָב֙ וְשֵׂעִ֔יר הִנֵּ֥ה כְּכׇֽל־הַגּוֹיִ֖ם בֵּ֥ית יְהוּדָֽה׃

Thus says the Lord God; Because Mo᾽av and Se῾ir do say, Behold, the house of Yehuda is like all the nations;


###### Ezekiel 25:9

לָכֵן֩ הִנְנִ֨י פֹתֵ֜חַ אֶת־כֶּ֤תֶף מוֹאָב֙ מֵהֶ֣עָרִ֔ים מֵעָרָ֖יו מִקָּצֵ֑הוּ צְבִ֗י אֶ֚רֶץ בֵּ֣ית הַיְשִׁימֹ֔ת בַּ֥עַל מְע֖וֹן (וקריתמה) [וְקִרְיָתָֽיְמָה]׃

therefore, behold, I will open the flank of Mo᾽av on the side of the cities, on the side of his cities which are on his frontiers, the beautiful country of Bet-hayshimot, Ba῾al-me῾on, and Qiryatayim,


###### Ezekiel 25:10

לִבְנֵי־קֶ֙דֶם֙ עַל־בְּנֵ֣י עַמּ֔וֹן וּנְתַתִּ֖יהָ לְמוֹרָשָׁ֑ה לְמַ֛עַן לֹא־תִזָּכֵ֥ר בְּנֵֽי־עַמּ֖וֹן בַּגּוֹיִֽם׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
to the children of the east I will give it (along with the children of ῾Ammon) as a possession, so that the children of ῾Ammon may not be remembered among the nations.


###### Ezekiel 25:11

וּבְמוֹאָ֖ב אֶעֱשֶׂ֣ה שְׁפָטִ֑ים וְיָדְע֖וּ כִּי־אֲנִ֥י יְהֹוָֽה׃{פ}

And I will execute judgments upon Mo᾽av; and they shall know that I am the Lord.

כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִ֔ה יַ֣עַן עֲשׂ֥וֹת אֱד֛וֹם בִּנְקֹ֥ם נָקָ֖ם לְבֵ֣ית יְהוּדָ֑ה וַיֶּאְשְׁמ֥וּ אָשׁ֖וֹם וְנִקְּמ֥וּ בָהֶֽם׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Thus says the Lord God; Because Edom has dealt against the house of Yehuda by taking vengeance, and has greatly offended, and revenged himself upon them;

לָכֵ֗ן כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִ֔ה וְנָטִ֤תִי יָדִי֙ עַל־אֱד֔וֹם וְהִכְרַתִּ֥י מִמֶּ֖נָּה אָדָ֣ם וּבְהֵמָ֑ה וּנְתַתִּ֤יהָ חׇרְבָּה֙ מִתֵּימָ֔ן וּדְדָ֖נֶה בַּחֶ֥רֶב יִפֹּֽלוּ׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
therefore thus says the Lord God; I will also stretch out my hand upon Edom, and will cut off man and beast from it; and I will make it desolate from Teman; and they of Dedan shall fall by the sword.


###### Ezekiel 25:14

וְנָתַתִּ֨י אֶת־נִקְמָתִ֜י בֶּאֱד֗וֹם בְּיַד֙ עַמִּ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְעָשׂ֣וּ בֶאֱד֔וֹם כְּאַפִּ֖י וְכַחֲמָתִ֑י וְיָֽדְעוּ֙ אֶת־נִקְמָתִ֔י נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יֱהֹוִֽה׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
And I will lay my vengeance upon Edom by the hand of my people Yisra᾽el: and they shall do in Edom according to my anger and according to my fury; and they shall know my vengeance, says the Lord God.

כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִ֔ה יַ֛עַן עֲשׂ֥וֹת פְּלִשְׁתִּ֖ים בִּנְקָמָ֑ה וַיִּנָּקְמ֤וּ נָקָם֙ בִּשְׁאָ֣ט בְּנֶ֔פֶשׁ לְמַשְׁחִ֖ית אֵיבַ֥ת עוֹלָֽם׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Thus says the Lord God; Because the Pelishtim have dealt by revenge, and have taken vengeance with disdain of soul, to destroy with everlasting hatred;


###### Ezekiel 25:16

לָכֵ֗ן כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִ֔ה הִנְנִ֨י נוֹטֶ֤ה יָדִי֙ עַל־פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים וְהִכְרַתִּ֖י אֶת־כְּרֵתִ֑ים וְהַ֣אֲבַדְתִּ֔י אֶת־שְׁאֵרִ֖ית ח֥וֹף הַיָּֽם׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
therefore thus says the Lord God; Behold, I stretch out my hand upon the Pelishtim, and I will cut off the Keretim, and destroy the remnant of the sea coast;


###### Ezekiel 25:17

וְעָשִׂ֤יתִי בָם֙ נְקָמ֣וֹת גְּדֹל֔וֹת בְּתוֹכְח֖וֹת חֵמָ֑ה וְיָֽדְעוּ֙ כִּֽי־אֲנִ֣י יְהֹוָ֔ה בְּתִתִּ֥י אֶת־נִקְמָתִ֖י בָּֽם׃{פ}

and I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes; and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall lay my vengeance upon them.
