## Ezekiel Chapter 35

###### Ezekiel 35:1

וַיְהִ֥י דְבַר־יְהֹוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃

###### Ezekiel 35:2

בֶּן־אָדָ֕ם שִׂ֥ים פָּנֶ֖יךָ עַל־הַ֣ר שֵׂעִ֑יר וְהִנָּבֵ֖א עָלָֽיו׃

Son of man, set thy face against mount Se῾ir, and prophesy against it,


###### Ezekiel 35:3

וְאָמַ֣רְתָּ לּ֗וֹ כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִ֔ה הִנְנִ֥י אֵלֶ֖יךָ הַר־שֵׂעִ֑יר וְנָטִ֤יתִי יָדִי֙ עָלֶ֔יךָ וּנְתַתִּ֖יךָ שְׁמָמָ֥ה וּמְשַׁמָּֽה׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
and say to it, Thus says the Lord God; Behold, O mount Se῾ir, I am against thee, and I will stretch out my hand against thee, and I will make thee a total blight.

עָרֶ֙יךָ֙ חׇרְבָּ֣ה אָשִׂ֔ים וְאַתָּ֖ה שְׁמָמָ֣ה תִֽהְיֶ֑ה וְיָדַעְתָּ֖ כִּֽי־אֲנִ֥י יְהֹוָֽה׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be desolate, and thou shalt know that I am the Lord.

יַ֗עַן הֱי֤וֹת לְךָ֙ אֵיבַ֣ת עוֹלָ֔ם וַתַּגֵּ֥ר אֶת־בְּנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל עַל־יְדֵי־חָ֑רֶב בְּעֵ֣ת אֵידָ֔ם בְּעֵ֖ת עֲוֺ֥ן קֵֽץ׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Because thou hast had a perpetual hatred and hast hurled the children of Yisra᾽el to the power of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time of their final punishment:


###### Ezekiel 35:6

לָכֵ֣ן חַי־אָ֗נִי נְאֻם֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִ֔ה כִּֽי־לְדָ֥ם אֶעֶשְׂךָ֖ וְדָ֣ם יִרְדְּפֶ֑ךָ אִם־לֹ֥א דָ֛ם שָׂנֵ֖אתָ וְדָ֥ם יִרְדְּפֶֽךָ׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
therefore, as I live, says the Lord God, I will prepare thee to blood, and blood shall pursue thee: surely thou hast hated thy own blood; therefore blood shall pursue thee.

וְנָֽתַתִּי֙ אֶת־הַ֣ר שֵׂעִ֔יר לְשִֽׁמְמָ֖ה וּשְׁמָמָ֑ה וְהִכְרַתִּ֥י מִמֶּ֖נּוּ עֹבֵ֥ר וָשָֽׁב׃

Thus will I make mount Se῾ir most desolate, and cut off from it all who come and go.

וּמִלֵּאתִ֥י אֶת־הָרָ֖יו חֲלָלָ֑יו גִּבְעוֹתֶ֤יךָ וְגֵיאוֹתֶ֙יךָ֙ וְכׇל־אֲפִיקֶ֔יךָ חַלְלֵי־חֶ֖רֶב יִפְּל֥וּ בָהֶֽם׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
And I will fill its mountains with its slain men: in thy hills, and in thy valleys, and in all thy water courses shall they fall that are slain with the sword.


###### Ezekiel 35:9

שִֽׁמְמ֤וֹת עוֹלָם֙ אֶתֶּנְךָ֔ וְעָרֶ֖יךָ לֹ֣א (תישבנה) [תָשֹׁ֑בְנָה] וִידַעְתֶּ֖ם כִּֽי־אֲנִ֥י יְהֹוָֽה׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
I will make thee perpetual desolations, and thy cities shall not have a restoration: and you shall know that I am the Lord.


###### Ezekiel 35:10

יַ֣עַן אֲ֠מׇרְךָ֠ אֶת־שְׁנֵ֨י הַגּוֹיִ֜ם וְאֶת־שְׁתֵּ֧י הָאֲרָצ֛וֹת לִ֥י תִהְיֶ֖ינָה וִֽירַשְׁנ֑וּהָ וַיהֹוָ֖ה שָׁ֥ם הָיָֽה׃{ס}

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Because thou hast said, These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it; though the Lord was there:


###### Ezekiel 35:11

לָכֵ֣ן חַי־אָ֗נִי נְאֻם֮ אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִה֒ וְעָשִׂ֗יתִי כְּאַפְּךָ֙ וּכְקִנְאָ֣תְךָ֔ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשִׂ֔יתָה מִשִּׂנְאָתֶ֖יךָ בָּ֑ם וְנוֹדַ֥עְתִּי בָ֖ם כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר אֶשְׁפְּטֶֽךָ׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
therefore, as I live, says the Lord God, I will do according to thy anger, and according to thy envy which thou hast used out of thy hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them, when I shall judge thee.

וְֽיָדַעְתָּ֮ כִּ֣י אֲנִ֣י יְהֹוָה֒ שָׁמַ֣עְתִּי**׀** אֶת־כׇּל־נָאָֽצוֹתֶ֗יךָ אֲשֶׁ֥ר אָמַ֛רְתָּ עַל־הָרֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לֵאמֹ֣ר׀[שָׁמֵ֑מוּ] (שממה) לָ֥נוּ נִתְּנ֖וּ לְאׇכְלָֽה׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
And thou shalt know that I am the Lord, and that I have heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Yisra᾽el saying, They are laid desolate, they are given us to consume.


###### Ezekiel 35:13

וַתַּגְדִּ֤ילוּ עָלַי֙ בְּפִיכֶ֔ם וְהַעְתַּרְתֶּ֥ם עָלַ֖י דִּבְרֵיכֶ֑ם אֲנִ֖י שָׁמָֽעְתִּי׃{ס}

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Thus with your mouth you have boasted against me, and have multiplied your words against me: I have heard them.


###### Ezekiel 35:14

כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֖ר אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִ֑ה כִּשְׂמֹ֙חַ֙ כׇּל־הָאָ֔רֶץ שְׁמָמָ֖ה אֶעֱשֶׂה־לָּֽךְ׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Thus says the Lord God; When the whole earth rejoices, I will make thee desolate.


###### Ezekiel 35:15

כְּשִׂמְחָ֨תְךָ֜ לְנַחֲלַ֧ת בֵּֽית־יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל עַ֥ל אֲשֶׁר־שָׁמֵ֖מָה כֵּ֣ן אֶעֱשֶׂה־לָּ֑ךְ שְׁמָמָ֨ה תִהְיֶ֤ה הַר־שֵׂעִיר֙ וְכׇל־אֱד֣וֹם כֻּלָּ֔הּ וְיָדְע֖וּ כִּי־אֲנִ֥י יְהֹוָֽה׃{פ}

As thou didst rejoice at the inheritance of the house of Yisra᾽el because it was desolate, so will I do to thee: thou shalt be desolate, O mount Se῾ir, and all Edom, all of it: and they shall know that I am the Lord.
