## Ezekiel Chapter 47

###### Ezekiel 47:1

וַיְשִׁבֵ֘נִי֮ אֶל־פֶּ֣תַח הַבַּ֒יִת֒ וְהִנֵּה־מַ֣יִם יֹצְאִ֗ים מִתַּ֨חַת מִפְתַּ֤ן הַבַּ֙יִת֙ קָדִ֔ימָה כִּֽי־פְנֵ֥י הַבַּ֖יִת קָדִ֑ים וְהַמַּ֣יִם יֹרְדִ֗ים מִתַּ֜חַת מִכֶּ֤תֶף הַבַּ֙יִת֙ הַיְמָנִ֔ית מִנֶּ֖גֶב לַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Then he brought me back to the door of the house; and, behold, water issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house looked towards the east, and the water came down from beneath, from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.


###### Ezekiel 47:2

וַיּוֹצִאֵ֘נִי֮ דֶּרֶךְ־שַׁ֣עַר צָפ֒וֹנָה֒ וַיְסִבֵּ֙נִי֙ דֶּ֣רֶךְ ח֔וּץ אֶל־שַׁ֣עַר הַח֔וּץ דֶּ֖רֶךְ הַפּוֹנֶ֣ה קָדִ֑ים וְהִנֵּה־מַ֣יִם מְפַכִּ֔ים מִן־הַכָּתֵ֖ף הַיְמָנִֽית׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Then he brought me out by the way of the gate northward, and led me round the way outside to the outer gate by the way what looks eastward; and, behold, there ran out water on the right side.


###### Ezekiel 47:3

בְּצֵאת־הָאִ֥ישׁ קָדִ֖ים וְקָ֣ו בְּיָד֑וֹ וַיָּ֤מׇד אֶ֙לֶף֙ בָּֽאַמָּ֔ה וַיַּעֲבִרֵ֥נִי בַמַּ֖יִם מֵ֥י אׇפְסָֽיִם׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
And when the man that had the line in his hand went out eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he made me pass through the water; the water was up to the ankles.


###### Ezekiel 47:4

וַיָּ֣מׇד אֶ֔לֶף וַיַּעֲבִרֵ֥נִי בַמַּ֖יִם מַ֣יִם בִּרְכָּ֑יִם וַיָּ֣מׇד אֶ֔לֶף וַיַּעֲבִרֵ֖נִי מֵ֥י מׇתְנָֽיִם׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Again he measured a thousand, and made me pass through the water; the water was up to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and made me pass through water up to the loins.


###### Ezekiel 47:5

וַיָּ֣מׇד אֶ֔לֶף נַ֕חַל אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹא־אוּכַ֖ל לַעֲבֹ֑ר כִּֽי־גָא֤וּ הַמַּ֙יִם֙ מֵ֣י שָׂ֔חוּ נַ֖חַל אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹא־יֵעָבֵֽר׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
And he measured a further thousand; and it was a stream that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a stream that could not be passed over.


###### Ezekiel 47:6

וַיֹּ֥אמֶר אֵלַ֖י הֲרָאִ֣יתָ בֶן־אָדָ֑ם וַיּוֹלִכֵ֥נִי וַיְשִׁבֵ֖נִי שְׂפַ֥ת הַנָּֽחַל׃

And he said to me, Son of man, hast thou seen this? Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the edge of the stream.


###### Ezekiel 47:7

בְּשׁוּבֵ֕נִי וְהִנֵּה֙ אֶל־שְׂפַ֣ת הַנַּ֔חַל עֵ֖ץ רַ֣ב מְאֹ֑ד מִזֶּ֖ה וּמִזֶּֽה׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Now when I had returned, behold, at the bank of the stream were very many trees on the one side and on the other.


###### Ezekiel 47:8

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַ֗י הַמַּ֤יִם הָאֵ֙לֶּה֙ יוֹצְאִ֗ים אֶל־הַגְּלִילָה֙ הַקַּדְמוֹנָ֔ה וְיָרְד֖וּ עַל־הָעֲרָבָ֑ה וּבָ֣אוּ הַיָּ֔מָּה אֶל־הַיָּ֥מָּה הַמּוּצָאִ֖ים וְנִרְפּ֥אוּ הַמָּֽיִם׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Then he said to me, These waters issue out towards the eastern region, and go down into the ῾Arava; and on their entering the sea, the sea of issuing waters, the waters shall be healed.


###### Ezekiel 47:9

וְהָיָ֣ה כׇל־נֶ֣פֶשׁ חַיָּ֣ה׀אֲֽשֶׁר־יִשְׁרֹ֡ץ אֶ֣ל כׇּל־אֲשֶׁר֩ יָב֨וֹא שָׁ֤ם נַחֲלַ֙יִם֙ יִֽחְיֶ֔ה וְהָיָ֥ה הַדָּגָ֖ה רַבָּ֣ה מְאֹ֑ד כִּי֩ בָ֨אוּ שָׁ֜מָּה הַמַּ֣יִם הָאֵ֗לֶּה וְיֵרָֽפְאוּ֙ וָחָ֔י כֹּ֛ל אֲשֶׁר־יָ֥בוֹא שָׁ֖מָּה הַנָּֽחַל׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
And it shall come to pass, that every living thing, with which it swarms, wherever the streams shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: so that everything shall be healed, and shall live where that stream comes.

וְהָיָה֩ (יעמדו) [עָמְד֨וּ] עָלָ֜יו דַּוָּגִ֗ים מֵעֵ֥ין גֶּ֙דִי֙ וְעַד־עֵ֣ין עֶגְלַ֔יִם מִשְׁט֥וֹחַ לַחֲרָמִ֖ים יִֽהְי֑וּ לְמִינָהֿ֙ תִּֽהְיֶ֣ה דְגָתָ֔ם כִּדְגַ֛ת הַיָּ֥ם הַגָּד֖וֹל רַבָּ֥ה מְאֹֽד׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
And it shall come to pass, that the fishers shall stand upon it from ῾En-gedi as far as ῾En-῾eglayim; there shall be a place for the spreading of nets; their fish shall be of various kinds, like the fish of the great sea, exceeding many.


###### Ezekiel 47:11

בִּצֹּאתָ֧ו וּגְבָאָ֛יו וְלֹ֥א יֵרָפְא֖וּ לְמֶ֥לַח נִתָּֽנוּ׃

But its miry places and its marshes shall not be healed; they shall be given for salt.


###### Ezekiel 47:12

וְעַל־הַנַּ֣חַל יַעֲלֶ֣ה עַל־שְׂפָת֣וֹ מִזֶּ֣ה׀וּמִזֶּ֣ה׀כׇּל־עֵֽץ־מַ֠אֲכָ֠ל לֹא־יִבּ֨וֹל עָלֵ֜הוּ וְלֹֽא־יִתֹּ֣ם פִּרְי֗וֹ לׇחֳדָשָׁיו֙ יְבַכֵּ֔ר כִּ֣י מֵימָ֔יו מִן־הַמִּקְדָּ֖שׁ הֵ֣מָּה יוֹצְאִ֑ים (והיו) [וְהָיָ֤ה] פִרְיוֹ֙ לְמַאֲכָ֔ל וְעָלֵ֖הוּ לִתְרוּפָֽה׃{פ}

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
And by the stream upon its bank, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for food, whose leaf shall not wither, neither shall its fruit fail: it shall bring forth new fruit every month, because their waters have issued out of the sanctuary: and its fruit shall be for food, and its leaf for medicine.

כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִ֔ה גֵּ֤ה גְבוּל֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר תִּתְנַחֲל֣וּ אֶת־הָאָ֔רֶץ לִשְׁנֵ֥י עָשָׂ֖ר שִׁבְטֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל יוֹסֵ֖ף חֲבָלִֽים׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Thus says the Lord God; This shall be the border, according to which you shall divide the land for inheritance to the twelve tribes of Yisra᾽el: Yosef shall have two portions.


###### Ezekiel 47:14

וּנְחַלְתֶּ֤ם אוֹתָהּ֙ אִ֣ישׁ כְּאָחִ֔יו אֲשֶׁ֤ר נָשָׂ֙אתִי֙ אֶת־יָדִ֔י לְתִתָּ֖הּ לַאֲבֹֽתֵיכֶ֑ם וְנָ֨פְלָ֜ה הָאָ֧רֶץ הַזֹּ֛את לָכֶ֖ם בְּנַחֲלָֽה׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
And you shall inherit it, one as well as another: that concerning which I lifted up my hand to give it to your fathers: and this land shall fall to you for inheritance.


###### Ezekiel 47:15

וְזֶ֖ה גְּב֣וּל הָאָ֑רֶץ לִפְאַ֨ת צָפ֜וֹנָה מִן־הַיָּ֧ם הַגָּד֛וֹל הַדֶּ֥רֶךְ חֶתְלֹ֖ן לְב֥וֹא צְדָֽדָה׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
And this shall be the border of the land towards the north side, from the great sea, by the way of Ḥetlon, as you go to Żedad;


###### Ezekiel 47:16

חֲמָ֤ת׀בֵּר֙וֹתָה֙ סִבְרַ֔יִם אֲשֶׁר֙ בֵּין־גְּב֣וּל דַּמֶּ֔שֶׂק וּבֵ֖ין גְּב֣וּל חֲמָ֑ת חָצֵר֙ הַתִּיכ֔וֹן אֲשֶׁ֖ר אֶל־גְּב֥וּל חַוְרָֽן׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Ḥamat, Berota, Sivrayim, which is between the border of Dammeseq and the border of Ḥamat; the middle Ḥażer, which is by the border of Ḥavran.


###### Ezekiel 47:17

וְהָיָ֨ה גְב֜וּל מִן־הַיָּ֗ם חֲצַ֤ר עֵינוֹן֙ גְּב֣וּל דַּמֶּ֔שֶׂק וְצָפ֥וֹן׀צָפ֖וֹנָה וּגְב֣וּל חֲמָ֑ת וְאֵ֖ת פְּאַ֥ת צָפֽוֹן׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
And the border from the sea shall be Ḥażar-῾enon, the border of Dammeseq, and the north northward, and the border of Ḥamat. That is the north side.


###### Ezekiel 47:18

וּפְאַ֣ת קָדִ֡ים מִבֵּ֣ין חַוְרָ֣ן וּמִבֵּין־דַּמֶּ֩שֶׂק֩ וּמִבֵּ֨ין הַגִּלְעָ֜ד וּמִבֵּ֨ין אֶ֤רֶץ יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ הַיַּרְדֵּ֔ן מִגְּב֛וּל עַל־הַיָּ֥ם הַקַּדְמוֹנִ֖י תָּמֹ֑דּוּ וְאֵ֖ת פְּאַ֥ת קָדִֽימָה׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
And the east side, between Ḥavran, and Dammeseq and Gil῾ad, and between the land of Yisra᾽el and the Yarden, from the border to the eastern sea shall you measure. That is the east side.


###### Ezekiel 47:19

וּפְאַת֙ נֶ֣גֶב תֵּימָ֔נָה מִתָּמָ֗ר עַד־מֵי֙ מְרִיב֣וֹת קָדֵ֔שׁ נַחֲלָ֖ה אֶל־הַיָּ֣ם הַגָּד֑וֹל וְאֵ֥ת פְּאַת־תֵּימָ֖נָה נֶֽגְבָּה׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
And the Negev side southward from Tamar to the waters of Merivot-qadesh to the wadi, as far as the great sea. That is the south side towards the Negev.


###### Ezekiel 47:20

וּפְאַת־יָם֙ הַיָּ֣ם הַגָּד֔וֹל מִגְּב֕וּל עַד־נֹ֖כַח לְב֣וֹא חֲמָ֑ת זֹ֖את פְּאַת־יָֽם׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
The west side also shall be the great sea from the border, as far as over against the entrance of Ḥamat. That is the west side.


###### Ezekiel 47:21

וְחִלַּקְתֶּ֞ם אֶת־הָאָ֧רֶץ הַזֹּ֛את לָכֶ֖ם לְשִׁבְטֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

So shall you divide this land for yourselves according to the tribes of Yisra᾽el.

וְהָיָ֗ה תַּפִּ֣לוּ אוֹתָהּ֮ בְּנַחֲלָה֒ לָכֶ֗ם וּלְהַגֵּרִים֙ הַגָּרִ֣ים בְּתוֹכְכֶ֔ם אֲשֶׁר־הוֹלִ֥דוּ בָנִ֖ים בְּתוֹכְכֶ֑ם וְהָי֣וּ לָכֶ֗ם כְּאֶזְרָח֙ בִּבְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אִתְּכֶם֙ יִפְּל֣וּ בְנַֽחֲלָ֔ה בְּת֖וֹךְ שִׁבְטֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

And it shall come to pass, that you shall divide it by lot for an inheritance to you, and to the strangers that sojourn among you, who shall beget children among you: and they shall be to you as those born in the country among the children of Yisra᾽el; they shall have inheritance with you among the tribes of Yisra᾽el.


###### Ezekiel 47:23

וְהָיָ֣ה בַשֵּׁ֔בֶט אֲשֶׁר־גָּ֥ר הַגֵּ֖ר אִתּ֑וֹ שָׁ֚ם תִּתְּנ֣וּ נַחֲלָת֔וֹ נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יֱהֹוִֽה׃{פ}

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
And it shall come to pass, that in whatever tribe the stranger may sojourn, there shall you give him his inheritance, says the Lord God.
