## Ezekiel Chapter 7

###### Ezekiel 7:1

וַיְהִ֥י דְבַר־יְהֹוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃

Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying,


###### Ezekiel 7:2

וְאַתָּ֣ה בֶן־אָדָ֗ם כֹּֽה־אָמַ֞ר אֲדֹנָ֧י יֱהֹוִ֛ה לְאַדְמַ֥ת יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל קֵ֑ץ בָּ֣א הַקֵּ֔ץ עַל־[אַרְבַּ֖ע] (ארבעת) כַּנְפ֥וֹת הָאָֽרֶץ׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Also, thou son of man, thus says the Lord God to the land of Yisra᾽el; An end, the end is come upon the four corners of the land.


###### Ezekiel 7:3

עַתָּה֙ הַקֵּ֣ץ עָלַ֔יִךְ וְשִׁלַּחְתִּ֤י אַפִּי֙ בָּ֔ךְ וּשְׁפַטְתִּ֖יךְ כִּדְרָכָ֑יִךְ וְנָתַתִּ֣י עָלַ֔יִךְ אֵ֖ת כׇּל־תּוֹעֲבוֹתָֽיִךְ׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Now is the end come upon thee, and I will send my anger upon thee, and I will judge thee according to thy ways, and I will recompense upon thee all thy abominations.


###### Ezekiel 7:4

וְלֹא־תָח֥וֹס עֵינִ֛י עָלַ֖יִךְ וְלֹ֣א אֶחְמ֑וֹל כִּ֣י דְרָכַ֜יִךְ עָלַ֣יִךְ אֶתֵּ֗ן וְתוֹעֲבוֹתַ֙יִךְ֙ בְּתוֹכֵ֣ךְ תִּֽהְיֶ֔יןָ וִידַעְתֶּ֖ם כִּי־אֲנִ֥י יְהֹוָֽה׃{פ}

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
And my eye shall not spare thee, neither will I have pity: but I will recompense thy ways upon thee, and thy abominations shall be in the midst of thee: and you shall know that I am the Lord.

כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֖ר אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִ֑ה רָעָ֛ה אַחַ֥ת רָעָ֖ה הִנֵּ֥ה בָאָֽה׃

Thus says the Lord God! An evil, a singular evil, behold, is come.


###### Ezekiel 7:6

קֵ֣ץ בָּ֔א בָּ֥א הַקֵּ֖ץ הֵקִ֣יץ אֵלָ֑יִךְ הִנֵּ֖ה בָּאָֽה׃

An end is come; the end is come, which he has stirred up against thee; behold, it is come.


###### Ezekiel 7:7

בָּ֧אָה הַצְּפִירָ֛ה אֵלֶ֖יךָ יוֹשֵׁ֣ב הָאָ֑רֶץ בָּ֣א הָעֵ֗ת קָר֛וֹב הַיּ֥וֹם מְהוּמָ֖ה וְלֹא־הֵ֥ד הָרִֽים׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
The dawn is come to thee, O thou that dwellest in the land: the time comes, it is near; the day is a day of confusion, and not of joyful shouting on the mountains.


###### Ezekiel 7:8

עַתָּ֣ה מִקָּר֗וֹב אֶשְׁפּ֤וֹךְ חֲמָתִי֙ עָלַ֔יִךְ וְכִלֵּיתִ֤י אַפִּי֙ בָּ֔ךְ וּשְׁפַטְתִּ֖יךְ כִּדְרָכָ֑יִךְ וְנָתַתִּ֣י עָלַ֔יִךְ אֵ֖ת כׇּל־תּוֹעֲבוֹתָֽיִךְ׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Now will I shortly pour out my fury upon thee, and accomplish my anger upon thee: and I will judge thee according to thy ways, and I will recompense thee for all thy abominations.

וְלֹא־תָח֥וֹס עֵינִ֖י וְלֹ֣א אֶחְמ֑וֹל כִּדְרָכַ֜יִךְ עָלַ֣יִךְ אֶתֵּ֗ן וְתוֹעֲבוֹתַ֙יִךְ֙ בְּתוֹכֵ֣ךְ תִּהְיֶ֔יןָ וִידַעְתֶּ֕ם כִּ֛י אֲנִ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה מַכֶּֽה׃

And my eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: I will recompense thee according to thy ways and thy abominations that are in the midst of thee; and you shall know that I the Lord do smite.

הִנֵּ֥ה הַיּ֖וֹם הִנֵּ֣ה בָאָ֑ה יָֽצְאָה֙ הַצְּפִרָ֔ה צָ֚ץ הַמַּטֶּ֔ה פָּרַ֖ח הַזָּדֽוֹן׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Behold the day, behold, it is coming: the dawn has gone forth; the rod has blossomed, arrogance has budded.


###### Ezekiel 7:11

הֶחָמָ֥ס׀קָ֖ם לְמַטֵּה־רֶ֑שַׁע לֹא־מֵהֶ֞ם וְלֹ֧א מֵהֲמוֹנָ֛ם וְלֹ֥א מֶהֱמֵהֶ֖ם וְלֹא־נֹ֥הַּ בָּהֶֽם׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Violence is risen up into a rod of wickedness: none of them shall remain, nothing of their multitude, nor of their splendour: neither shall there be wailing for them.


###### Ezekiel 7:12

בָּ֤א הָעֵת֙ הִגִּ֣יעַ הַיּ֔וֹם הַקּוֹנֶה֙ אַל־יִשְׂמָ֔ח וְהַמֹּכֵ֖ר אַל־יִתְאַבָּ֑ל כִּ֥י חָר֖וֹן אֶל־כׇּל־הֲמוֹנָֽהּ׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
The time is come, the day draws near: let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn: for wrath is upon all its multitude.


###### Ezekiel 7:13

כִּ֣י הַמֹּכֵ֗ר אֶל־הַמִּמְכָּר֙ לֹ֣א יָשׁ֔וּב וְע֥וֹד בַּחַיִּ֖ים חַיָּתָ֑ם כִּֽי־חָז֤וֹן אֶל־כׇּל־הֲמוֹנָהּ֙ לֹ֣א יָשׁ֔וּב וְאִ֧ישׁ בַּעֲוֺנ֛וֹ חַיָּת֖וֹ לֹ֥א יִתְחַזָּֽקוּ׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
For the seller shall not return to that which he has sold, although they were yet alive: for the vision concerns their whole multitude; none returns; for every man lives in his sin: they do not hold firm.


###### Ezekiel 7:14

תָּקְע֤וּ בַתָּק֙וֹעַ֙ וְהָכִ֣ין הַכֹּ֔ל וְאֵ֥ין הֹלֵ֖ךְ לַמִּלְחָמָ֑ה כִּ֥י חֲרוֹנִ֖י אֶל־כׇּל־הֲמוֹנָֽהּ׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
They have blown the trumpet, and made all ready; but none goes to the battle: for my wrath is upon all their multitude.


###### Ezekiel 7:15

הַחֶ֣רֶב בַּח֔וּץ וְהַדֶּ֥בֶר וְהָרָעָ֖ב מִבָּ֑יִת אֲשֶׁ֤ר בַּשָּׂדֶה֙ בַּחֶ֣רֶב יָמ֔וּת וַאֲשֶׁ֣ר בָּעִ֔יר רָעָ֥ב וָדֶ֖בֶר יֹאכְלֶֽנּוּ׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
The sword is outside, and the pestilence and the famine within: he that is in the field shall die with the sword; and he that is in the city, famine and pestilence shall devour him.

וּפָֽלְטוּ֙ פְּלִ֣יטֵיהֶ֔ם וְהָי֣וּ אֶל־הֶהָרִ֗ים כְּיוֹנֵ֧י הַגֵּאָי֛וֹת כֻּלָּ֖ם הֹמ֑וֹת אִ֖ישׁ בַּעֲוֺנֽוֹ׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
And those fugitives that escape, shall be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them moaning, every one for his iniquity.


###### Ezekiel 7:17

כׇּל־הַיָּדַ֖יִם תִּרְפֶּ֑ינָה וְכׇל־בִּרְכַּ֖יִם תֵּלַ֥כְנָה מָּֽיִם׃

All hands shall be feeble, and all knees shall drip with water.


###### Ezekiel 7:18

וְחָגְר֣וּ שַׂקִּ֔ים וְכִסְּתָ֥ה אוֹתָ֖ם פַּלָּצ֑וּת וְאֶ֤ל כׇּל־פָּנִים֙ בּוּשָׁ֔ה וּבְכׇל־רָאשֵׁיהֶ֖ם קׇרְחָֽה׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
They shall also gird themselves with sackcloth, and horror shall cover them; and shame shall be upon all faces, and baldness upon all their heads.


###### Ezekiel 7:19

כַּסְפָּ֞ם בַּחוּצ֣וֹת יַשְׁלִ֗יכוּ וּזְהָבָם֮ לְנִדָּ֣ה יִֽהְיֶה֒ כַּסְפָּ֨ם וּזְהָבָ֜ם לֹא־יוּכַ֣ל לְהַצִּילָ֗ם בְּיוֹם֙ עֶבְרַ֣ת יְהֹוָ֔ה נַפְשָׁם֙ לֹ֣א יְשַׂבֵּ֔עוּ וּמֵעֵיהֶ֖ם לֹ֣א יְמַלֵּ֑אוּ כִּֽי־מִכְשׁ֥וֹל עֲוֺנָ֖ם הָיָֽה׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be like an unclean thing: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the Lord: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.

וּצְבִ֤י עֶדְיוֹ֙ לְגָא֣וֹן שָׂמָ֔הוּ וְצַלְמֵ֧י תוֹעֲבֹתָ֛ם שִׁקּוּצֵיהֶ֖ם עָ֣שׂוּ ב֑וֹ עַל־כֵּ֛ן נְתַתִּ֥יו לָהֶ֖ם לְנִדָּֽה׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
As for the beauty of his ornament which he set in majesty: they have set up in it the images of their abominations and of their detestable things: therefore I have set it far from them.


###### Ezekiel 7:21

וּנְתַתִּ֤יו בְּיַֽד־הַזָּרִים֙ לָבַ֔ז וּלְרִשְׁעֵ֥י הָאָ֖רֶץ לְשָׁלָ֑ל (וחללוה) [וְחִלְּלֽוּהוּ]׃

And I will give it into the hands of the strangers for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil; and they shall profane it.


###### Ezekiel 7:22

וַהֲסִבּוֹתִ֤י פָנַי֙ מֵהֶ֔ם וְחִלְּל֖וּ אֶת־צְפוּנִ֑י וּבָאוּ־בָ֥הּ פָּרִיצִ֖ים וְחִלְּלֽוּהָ׃{פ}

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
My face will I turn also from them, and they shall profane my secret place: for the robbers shall enter into it, and profane it.

עֲשֵׂ֖ה הָרַתּ֑וֹק כִּ֣י הָאָ֗רֶץ מָֽלְאָה֙ מִשְׁפַּ֣ט דָּמִ֔ים וְהָעִ֖יר מָלְאָ֥ה חָמָֽס׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Make the chain: for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of violence.


###### Ezekiel 7:24

וְהֵֽבֵאתִי֙ רָעֵ֣י גוֹיִ֔ם וְיָרְשׁ֖וּ אֶת־בָּתֵּיהֶ֑ם וְהִשְׁבַּתִּי֙ גְּא֣וֹן עַזִּ֔ים וְנִחֲל֖וּ מְקַֽדְשֵׁיהֶֽם׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
And I will bring the worst of the nations, and they shall possess their houses: I will also make the pride of the strong to cease; and their holy places shall be profaned.


###### Ezekiel 7:25

קְפָ֖דָה־בָ֑א וּבִקְשׁ֥וּ שָׁל֖וֹם וָאָֽיִן׃

Anguish comes; and they shall seek peace, but there shall be none.

הֹוָ֤ה עַל־הֹוָה֙ תָּב֔וֹא וּשְׁמֻעָ֥ה אֶל־שְׁמוּעָ֖ה תִּֽהְיֶ֑ה וּבִקְשׁ֤וּ חָזוֹן֙ מִנָּבִ֔יא וְתוֹרָה֙ תֹּאבַ֣ד מִכֹּהֵ֔ן וְעֵצָ֖ה מִזְּקֵנִֽים׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Calamity shall follow upon calamity, and rumour shall come upon rumour; then shall they seek a vision from the prophet; but Tora shall perish from the priest, and counsel from the elders.

הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ יִתְאַבָּ֗ל וְנָשִׂיא֙ יִלְבַּ֣שׁ שְׁמָמָ֔ה וִידֵ֥י עַם־הָאָ֖רֶץ תִּבָּהַ֑לְנָה מִדַּרְכָּ֞ם אֶעֱשֶׂ֤ה אֹתָם֙ וּבְמִשְׁפְּטֵיהֶ֣ם אֶשְׁפְּטֵ֔ם וְיָדְע֖וּ כִּֽי־אֲנִ֥י יְהֹוָֽה׃{פ}

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
The king shall mourn, and the prince shall be wrapped in despair, and the hands of the people of the land shall be enfeebled: I will do to them after their way, and according to their deserts will I judge them; and they shall know that I am the Lord.
