## Hosea Chapter 14

###### Hosea 14:1

תֶּאְשַׁם֙ שֹׁמְר֔וֹן כִּ֥י מָרְתָ֖ה בֵּאלֹהֶ֑יהָ בַּחֶ֣רֶב יִפֹּ֔לוּ עֹלְלֵיהֶ֣ם יְרֻטָּ֔שׁוּ וְהָרִיּוֹתָ֖יו יְבֻקָּֽעוּ׃{פ}

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Shomeron shall be found guilty, for she has rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up.


###### Hosea 14:2

שׁ֚וּבָה יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל עַ֖ד יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ כִּ֥י כָשַׁ֖לְתָּ בַּעֲוֺנֶֽךָ׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
O Yisra᾽el, return to the Lord thy God; for thou hast stumbled in thy iniquity.


###### Hosea 14:3

קְח֤וּ עִמָּכֶם֙ דְּבָרִ֔ים וְשׁ֖וּבוּ אֶל־יְהֹוָ֑ה אִמְר֣וּ אֵלָ֗יו כׇּל־תִּשָּׂ֤א עָוֺן֙ וְקַח־ט֔וֹב וּֽנְשַׁלְּמָ֥ה פָרִ֖ים שְׂפָתֵֽינוּ׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Take with you words, and turn to the Lord: say to him, Forgive all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so we will offer the words of our lips instead of calves.


###### Hosea 14:4

אַשּׁ֣וּר**׀** לֹ֣א יוֹשִׁיעֵ֗נוּ עַל־סוּס֙ לֹ֣א נִרְכָּ֔ב וְלֹא־נֹ֥אמַר ע֛וֹד אֱלֹהֵ֖ינוּ לְמַעֲשֵׂ֣ה יָדֵ֑ינוּ אֲשֶׁר־בְּךָ֖ יְרֻחַ֥ם יָתֽוֹם׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Ashshur shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses: nor shall we say any more to the work of our hands, You are our gods: for in Thee the fatherless finds mercy.

אֶרְפָּא֙ מְשׁ֣וּבָתָ֔ם אֹהֲבֵ֖ם נְדָבָ֑ה כִּ֛י שָׁ֥ב אַפִּ֖י מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃

I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for my anger is turned away from him.


###### Hosea 14:6

אֶהְיֶ֤ה כַטַּל֙ לְיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל יִפְרַ֖ח כַּשּׁוֹשַׁנָּ֑ה וְיַ֥ךְ שׇׁרָשָׁ֖יו כַּלְּבָנֽוֹן׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
I will be as the dew to Yisra᾽el: he shall flower like the lily, and cast forth his roots like the Levanon.


###### Hosea 14:7

יֵֽלְכוּ֙ יֹֽנְקוֹתָ֔יו וִיהִ֥י כַזַּ֖יִת הוֹד֑וֹ וְרֵ֥יחַֽ ל֖וֹ כַּלְּבָנֽוֹן׃

His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be like the olive tree, and his fragrance like the Levanon.


###### Hosea 14:8

יָשֻׁ֙בוּ֙ יֹשְׁבֵ֣י בְצִלּ֔וֹ יְחַיּ֥וּ דָגָ֖ן וְיִפְרְח֣וּ כַגָּ֑פֶן זִכְר֖וֹ כְּיֵ֥ין לְבָנֽוֹן׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
They who dwell in his shadow, shall return; they shall revive like corn, and blossom like the vine: their fragrance shall be like the wine of Levanon.


###### Hosea 14:9

אֶפְרַ֕יִם מַה־לִּ֥י ע֖וֹד לָעֲצַבִּ֑ים אֲנִ֧י עָנִ֣יתִי וַאֲשׁוּרֶ֗נּוּ אֲנִי֙ כִּבְר֣וֹשׁ רַעֲנָ֔ן מִמֶּ֖נִּי פֶּרְיְךָ֥ נִמְצָֽא׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Efrayim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I answer him and look on him: I am like a leafy cypress tree; from me is thy fruit found.


###### Hosea 14:10

מִ֤י חָכָם֙ וְיָ֣בֵֽן אֵ֔לֶּה נָב֖וֹן וְיֵדָעֵ֑ם כִּֽי־יְשָׁרִ֞ים דַּרְכֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֗ה וְצַדִּקִים֙ יֵ֣לְכוּ בָ֔ם וּפֹשְׁעִ֖ים יִכָּ֥שְׁלוּ בָֽם׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Whoever is wise, let him understand these things: whoever is prudent let him know them; for the ways of the Lord are right, and the just do walk in them: but the transgressors shall stumble in them.
