## Hosea Chapter 3

###### Hosea 3:1

וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהֹוָ֜ה אֵלַ֗י ע֚וֹד לֵ֣ךְ אֱֽהַב־אִשָּׁ֔ה אֲהֻ֥בַת רֵ֖עַ וּמְנָאָ֑פֶת כְּאַהֲבַ֤ת יְהֹוָה֙ אֶת־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְהֵ֗ם פֹּנִים֙ אֶל־אֱלֹהִ֣ים אֲחֵרִ֔ים וְאֹהֲבֵ֖י אֲשִׁישֵׁ֥י עֲנָבִֽים׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Then the Lord said to me, Go yet, love a women who is beloved by a paramour, and an adulteress, according to the love of the Lord towards the children of Yisra᾽el, who look to other gods, and love cakes of raisins.

וָאֶכְּרֶ֣הָ לִּ֔י בַּחֲמִשָּׁ֥ה עָשָׂ֖ר כָּ֑סֶף וְחֹ֥מֶר שְׂעֹרִ֖ים וְלֵ֥תֶךְ שְׂעֹרִֽים׃

So I bought her to me for fifteen pieces of silver, and for a ĥomer of barley, and a letekh of barley:

וָאֹמַ֣ר אֵלֶ֗יהָ יָמִ֤ים רַבִּים֙ תֵּ֣שְׁבִי לִ֔י לֹ֣א תִזְנִ֔י וְלֹ֥א תִֽהְיִ֖י לְאִ֑ישׁ וְגַם־אֲנִ֖י אֵלָֽיִךְ׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
And I said to her, Thou shalt remain as mine for many days; thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt not belong to another man: so will I also be towards thee.

כִּ֣י**׀** יָמִ֣ים רַבִּ֗ים יֵֽשְׁבוּ֙ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֵ֥ין מֶ֙לֶךְ֙ וְאֵ֣ין שָׂ֔ר וְאֵ֥ין זֶ֖בַח וְאֵ֣ין מַצֵּבָ֑ה וְאֵ֥ין אֵפ֖וֹד וּתְרָפִֽים׃

For the children of Yisra᾽el shall remain for many days, having no king, nor prince, nor sacrifice, nor pillar, nor efod, nor terafim:


###### Hosea 3:5

אַחַ֗ר יָשֻׁ֙בוּ֙ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וּבִקְשׁוּ֙ אֶת־יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֔ם וְאֵ֖ת דָּוִ֣יד מַלְכָּ֑ם וּפָחֲד֧וּ אֶל־יְהֹוָ֛ה וְאֶל־טוּב֖וֹ בְּאַחֲרִ֥ית הַיָּמִֽים׃{פ}

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
afterwards the children of Yisra᾽el shall return, and seek the Lord their God, and David their king; and shall come trembling to the Lord and his goodness in the latter days.
