###### II Chronicles 27:1

בֶּן־עֶשְׂרִ֨ים וְחָמֵ֤שׁ שָׁנָה֙ יוֹתָ֣ם בְּמׇלְכ֔וֹ וְשֵׁשׁ־עֶשְׂרֵ֣ה שָׁנָ֔ה מָלַ֖ךְ בִּירוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם וְשֵׁ֣ם אִמּ֔וֹ יְרוּשָׁ֖ה בַּת־צָדֽוֹק׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Yotam was twenty five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned for sixteen years in Yerushalayim. And his mother’s name was Yerusha, the daughter of Żadoq.

Yotham was twenty-five years old when he [began] to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Yerushah the daughter of Tzaddok.

וַיַּ֨עַשׂ הַיָּשָׁ֜ר בְּעֵינֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֗ה כְּכֹ֤ל אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂה֙ עֻזִּיָּ֣הוּ אָבִ֔יו רַ֕ק לֹא־בָ֖א אֶל־הֵיכַ֣ל יְהֹוָ֑ה וְע֥וֹד הָעָ֖ם מַשְׁחִיתִֽים׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father ῾Uzziyyahu had done: but he did not enter into the temple of the Lord, and the people still acted corruptly.

And he did what was just in the eyes of the L rd, as all that his father Uzziyahu had done. Only, he did not come to the sanctuary of the L rd, and the people still dealt corruptly.

ה֗וּא בָּנָ֛ה אֶת־שַׁ֥עַר בֵּית־יְהֹוָ֖ה הָעֶלְי֑וֹן וּבְחוֹמַ֥ת הָעֹ֛פֶל בָּנָ֖ה לָרֹֽב׃

He built the high gate of the house of the Lord, and on the wall of the ῾Ofel he built much.

He built the upper gate of the house of the L rd, and he did much building in the wall of the Ophel.

וְעָרִ֥ים בָּנָ֖ה בְּהַר־יְהוּדָ֑ה וּבֶחֳרָשִׁ֣ים בָּנָ֔ה בִּירָנִיּ֖וֹת וּמִגְדָּלִֽים׃

And he built cities in the mountains of Yehuda, and in the forests he built castles and towers.

וְ֠ה֠וּא נִלְחַ֞ם עִם־מֶ֣לֶךְ בְּנֵֽי־עַמּוֹן֮ וַיֶּחֱזַ֣ק עֲלֵיהֶם֒ וַיִּתְּנוּ־ל֨וֹ בְנֵי־עַמּ֜וֹן בַּשָּׁנָ֣ה הַהִ֗יא מֵאָה֙ כִּכַּר־כֶּ֔סֶף וַעֲשֶׂ֨רֶת אֲלָפִ֤ים כֹּרִים֙ חִטִּ֔ים וּשְׂעוֹרִ֖ים עֲשֶׂ֣רֶת אֲלָפִ֑ים זֹ֗את הֵשִׁ֤יבוּ לוֹ֙ בְּנֵ֣י עַמּ֔וֹן וּבַשָּׁנָ֥ה הַשֵּׁנִ֖ית וְהַשְּׁלִשִֽׁית׃

And he fought with the king of the children of ῾Ammon, and prevailed against them. And the children of ῾Ammon gave him in the same year a hundred talents of silver, and ten thousand measures of wheat, and ten thousand of barley. So much did the children of ῾Ammon pay to him, also in the second year, and the third.

And he fought with the king of the children of Ammon and he overcame them. And the children of Ammon gave him in that year one hundred talents of silver and ten thousand kors of wheat and ten thousand of barley. וַיִּתְחַזֵּ֖ק יוֹתָ֑ם כִּ֚י הֵכִ֣ין דְּרָכָ֔יו לִפְנֵ֖י יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהָֽיו׃

So Yotam became mighty, because he directed his ways aright before the Lord his God.

וְיֶ֙תֶר֙ דִּבְרֵ֣י יוֹתָ֔ם וְכׇל־מִלְחֲמֹתָ֖יו וּדְרָכָ֑יו הִנָּ֣ם כְּתוּבִ֔ים עַל־סֵ֥פֶר מַלְכֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל וִיהוּדָֽה׃

Now the rest of the acts of Yotam, and all his wars, and his ways, lo, they are written in the book of the kings of Yisra᾽el and Yehuda.

And the rest of the events (of the reign) of Yotham and all of his wars and his ways, behold, they are recorded in the book [of the chronicles] of the kings of Israel and Judah.

וַיִּשְׁכַּ֤ב יוֹתָם֙ עִם־אֲבֹתָ֔יו וַיִּקְבְּר֥וּ אֹת֖וֹ בְּעִ֣יר דָּוִ֑יד וַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְ אָחָ֥ז בְּנ֖וֹ תַּחְתָּֽיו׃{פ}

And Yotam slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David: and Aĥaz his son reigned in his stead.
