**בלילה ההוא נדדה שנת המלך** הזכיר הכתו' כי היתה סבה אלהית שנדדה שנת המלך מעיניו שלא יוכל לישן וצוה להביא את ספר הזכרונות שהיו כתובים דברי הימים שעברו והיו נקראים לפני המלך בצוויו כי מתוך שלא היה יכול לישן היה רוצה לעבור השעות ההם בקריאת הדברים שעברו בזמנו לפניו כדי שיתענג בשמיעתם:

**יקר** הוא שם ולעולם הוא קמוץ רק אם היה סמוך כמו ואת יקר תפארת גדולתו ימים. ואם היה שם התואר יהיה היו"ד קמוץ בקמץ גדול וכאשר יסמך יתערב עם השם הסמוך יקר רוח איש תבונה. והטעם יפריש ביניהם:
