בסדין, שבת כד ב ותוס' כלים בבא בתרא פ"ב ד (מסדינו של תלמיד), ובן עזאי אומר: נוח למלוך על כל העולם מלישב ולשנות [לש]ני בני אדם העטופים בסדינים (אדר"נ נו"א סוף פכ"ה ומדרש תהלים פי"ח), ו"סדינו" של ר"א, שהזכרתי = "גולתיה" בירוש'; אע"פ שבב"ר פי"ט ו' "גולין" ו"סדינין" הם שני דברים. ו"סדינא בקייטא וסרבלא בסיתוא" של רב קטינא (מנחות מ א), כשם שבב"ר פל"ו פירשו: בסרבלהון – **בגוליהון**, אלא שזה היה עב (סרבל) וזו (גולתא) היתה דקה ("דין שיעורו כשק"!).

ו"טלית" של תלמידי חכמים הצטיינה כידוע רק בזה שהיתה ארוכה יותר, ב"ב נז ב (ועי' ד"א זוטא פ"ה ואדר"נ נו"ב פל"א: ובעטיפתו אדם ניכר לבריות אם **כשר** הוא), וכל המתגאה בטלית של ת"ח וכו', שם צח א, וטלית שעליו כמרדעת של חמור (ירוש' בכורים שם, סה רע"ד), אמר ר' נחמיה נאמר' על החברים כל הימים שאדם חבר וכו' נתמנה אדם בראש **ונטל טלית** וכו' (שמ"ר פכ"ז), ור' יהושע ניחם את עקילס הגר בפירוש ואוהב גר לתת לו לחם ושמלה: לחם זו תורה – ושמלה זו טלית.
