###### Isaiah 10:1

ה֥וֹי הַחֹֽקְקִ֖ים חִקְקֵי־אָ֑וֶן וּֽמְכַתְּבִ֥ים עָמָ֖ל כִּתֵּֽבוּ׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Woe them that decree unrighteous decrees, and to the writers that prescribe oppression.


###### Isaiah 10:2

לְהַטּ֤וֹת מִדִּין֙ דַּלִּ֔ים וְלִגְזֹ֕ל מִשְׁפַּ֖ט עֲנִיֵּ֣י עַמִּ֑י לִֽהְי֤וֹת אַלְמָנוֹת֙ שְׁלָלָ֔ם וְאֶת־יְתוֹמִ֖ים יָבֹֽזּוּ׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless!


###### Isaiah 10:3

וּמַֽה־תַּעֲשׂוּ֙ לְי֣וֹם פְּקֻדָּ֔ה וּלְשׁוֹאָ֖ה מִמֶּרְחָ֣ק תָּב֑וֹא עַל־מִי֙ תָּנ֣וּסוּ לְעֶזְרָ֔ה וְאָ֥נָה תַעַזְב֖וּ כְּבוֹדְכֶֽם׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
And what will you do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will you flee for help? and where will you leave your glory?


###### Isaiah 10:4

בִּלְתִּ֤י כָרַע֙ תַּ֣חַת אַסִּ֔יר וְתַ֥חַת הֲרוּגִ֖ים יִפֹּ֑לוּ בְּכׇל־זֹאת֙ לֹא־שָׁ֣ב אַפּ֔וֹ וְע֖וֹד יָד֥וֹ נְטוּיָֽה׃{פ}

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
There is nothing to be done except to crouch among the prisoners, and fall among the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.


###### Isaiah 10:5

ה֥וֹי אַשּׁ֖וּר שֵׁ֣בֶט אַפִּ֑י וּמַטֶּה־ה֥וּא בְיָדָ֖ם זַעְמִֽי׃

Woe to Ashshur the rod of my anger; for the staff in their hand is my indignation.


###### Isaiah 10:6

בְּג֤וֹי חָנֵף֙ אֲשַׁלְּחֶ֔נּוּ וְעַל־עַ֥ם עֶבְרָתִ֖י אֲצַוֶּ֑נּוּ לִשְׁלֹ֤ל שָׁלָל֙ וְלָבֹ֣ז בַּ֔ז (ולשימו) [וּלְשׂוּמ֥וֹ] מִרְמָ֖ס כְּחֹ֥מֶר חוּצֽוֹת׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
I will send him against a hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.


###### Isaiah 10:7

וְהוּא֙ לֹא־כֵ֣ן יְדַמֶּ֔ה וּלְבָב֖וֹ לֹא־כֵ֣ן יַחְשֹׁ֑ב כִּ֚י לְהַשְׁמִ֣יד בִּלְבָב֔וֹ וּלְהַכְרִ֥ית גּוֹיִ֖ם לֹ֥א מְעָֽט׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Howbeit he means not so, neither does his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy and cut off nations not a few.


###### Isaiah 10:8

כִּ֖י יֹאמַ֑ר הֲלֹ֥א שָׂרַ֛י יַחְדָּ֖ו מְלָכִֽים׃

For he says, Are not my princes all of them kings?


###### Isaiah 10:9

הֲלֹ֥א כְּכַרְכְּמִ֖ישׁ כַּלְנ֑וֹ אִם־לֹ֤א כְאַרְפַּד֙ חֲמָ֔ת אִם־לֹ֥א כְדַמֶּ֖שֶׂק שֹׁמְרֽוֹן׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Is not Kalno as Karkemish? is not Ḥamat as Arpad? is not Shomeron as Dammeseq?


###### Isaiah 10:10

כַּֽאֲשֶׁר֙ מָצְאָ֣ה יָדִ֔י לְמַמְלְכֹ֖ת הָאֱלִ֑יל וּפְסִ֣ילֵיהֶ֔ם מִירוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם וּמִשֹּׁמְרֽוֹן׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
As my hand has reached the kingdoms of the idols, whose carved idols did exceed those of Yerushalayim and of Shomeron,


###### Isaiah 10:11

הֲלֹ֗א כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשִׂ֛יתִי לְשֹׁמְר֖וֹן וְלֶאֱלִילֶ֑יהָ כֵּ֛ן אֶעֱשֶׂ֥ה לִירוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם וְלַעֲצַבֶּֽיהָ׃{פ}

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
shall I not, as I have done to Shomeron and her idols, so do to Yerushalayim and her idols?


###### Isaiah 10:12

וְהָיָ֗ה כִּֽי־יְבַצַּ֤ע אֲדֹנָי֙ אֶת־כׇּל־מַֽעֲשֵׂ֔הוּ בְּהַ֥ר צִיּ֖וֹן וּבִירוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם אֶפְקֹ֗ד עַל־פְּרִֽי־גֹ֙דֶל֙ לְבַ֣ב מֶלֶךְ־אַשּׁ֔וּר וְעַל־תִּפְאֶ֖רֶת ר֥וּם עֵינָֽיו׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord has performed his whole work upon mount Żiyyon and on Yerushalayim, I will punish the fruit of the proud heart of the king of Ashshur, and the glory of his high looks.


###### Isaiah 10:13

כִּ֣י אָמַ֗ר בְּכֹ֤חַ יָדִי֙ עָשִׂ֔יתִי וּבְחׇכְמָתִ֖י כִּ֣י נְבֻנ֑וֹתִי וְאָסִ֣יר**׀** גְּבוּלֹ֣ת עַמִּ֗ים (ועתידתיהם) [וַעֲתֽוּדֹתֵיהֶם֙] שׁוֹשֵׂ֔תִי וְאוֹרִ֥יד כַּאבִּ֖יר יוֹשְׁבִֽים׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
For he says, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the mighty number of their inhabitants.


###### Isaiah 10:14

וַתִּמְצָ֨א כַקֵּ֤ן׀יָדִי֙ לְחֵ֣יל הָעַמִּ֔ים וְכֶֽאֱסֹף֙ בֵּיצִ֣ים עֲזֻב֔וֹת כׇּל־הָאָ֖רֶץ אֲנִ֣י אָסָ֑פְתִּי וְלֹ֤א הָיָה֙ נֹדֵ֣ד כָּנָ֔ף וּפֹצֶ֥ה פֶ֖ה וּמְצַפְצֵֽף׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
And my hand has found as a nest the riches of the people: and as one gathers eggs that are left, have I gathered all the earth; and there was none that moved the wing, or opened the mouth, or chirped.


###### Isaiah 10:15

הֲיִתְפָּאֵר֙ הַגַּרְזֶ֔ן עַ֖ל הַחֹצֵ֣ב בּ֑וֹ אִם־יִתְגַּדֵּ֤ל הַמַּשּׂוֹר֙ עַל־מְנִיפ֔וֹ כְּהָנִ֥יף שֵׁ֙בֶט֙ וְאֶת־מְרִימָ֔יו כְּהָרִ֥ים מַטֶּ֖ה לֹא־עֵֽץ׃{פ}

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Shall the ax boast itself against him that hews with it? or shall the saw magnify itself against him that wields it? as if the rod should shake them that lift it up, or as if the staff should lift up them that are no wood!


###### Isaiah 10:16

לָ֠כֵן יְשַׁלַּ֨ח הָאָד֜וֹן יְהֹוָ֧ה צְבָא֛וֹת בְּמִשְׁמַנָּ֖יו רָז֑וֹן וְתַ֧חַת כְּבֹד֛וֹ יֵקַ֥ד יְקֹ֖ד כִּיק֥וֹד אֵֽשׁ׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Therefore shall the Master, the Lord of hosts, send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory shall be kindled a burning like the burning of a fire.


###### Isaiah 10:17

וְהָיָ֤ה אֽוֹר־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ לְאֵ֔שׁ וּקְדוֹשׁ֖וֹ לְלֶהָבָ֑ה וּבָעֲרָ֗ה וְאָכְלָ֛ה שִׁית֥וֹ וּשְׁמִיר֖וֹ בְּי֥וֹם אֶחָֽד׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
And the light of Yisra᾽el shall be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame: and it shall burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day;


###### Isaiah 10:18

וּכְב֤וֹד יַעְרוֹ֙ וְכַרְמִלּ֔וֹ מִנֶּ֥פֶשׁ וְעַד־בָּשָׂ֖ר יְכַלֶּ֑ה וְהָיָ֖ה כִּמְסֹ֥ס נֹסֵֽס׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
and shall consume the glory of his forest, and of his fruitful field, both soul and body: and they shall be as when a sick person wastes away.


###### Isaiah 10:19

וּשְׁאָ֥ר עֵ֛ץ יַעְר֖וֹ מִסְפָּ֣ר יִהְי֑וּ וְנַ֖עַר יִכְתְּבֵֽם׃{ס}

And the rest of the trees of his forest shall be few, that a child may write them down.


###### Isaiah 10:20

וְהָיָ֣ה**׀** בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֗וּא לֹא־יוֹסִ֨יף ע֜וֹד שְׁאָ֤ר יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ וּפְלֵיטַ֣ת בֵּֽית־יַעֲקֹ֔ב לְהִשָּׁעֵ֖ן עַל־מַכֵּ֑הוּ וְנִשְׁעַ֗ן עַל־יְהֹוָ֛ה קְד֥וֹשׁ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל בֶּאֱמֶֽת׃

And it shall come to pass on that day, that the remnant of Yisra᾽el, and such as are escaped of the house of Ya῾aqov, shall no more again rely upon him that smote them; but shall rely upon the Lord, the Holy One of Yisra᾽el in truth.


###### Isaiah 10:21

שְׁאָ֥ר יָשׁ֖וּב שְׁאָ֣ר יַעֲקֹ֑ב אֶל־אֵ֖ל גִּבּֽוֹר׃

A remnant shall return, even the remnant of Ya῾aqov, to the mighty God.


###### Isaiah 10:22

כִּ֣י אִם־יִהְיֶ֞ה עַמְּךָ֤ יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ כְּח֣וֹל הַיָּ֔ם שְׁאָ֖ר יָשׁ֣וּב בּ֑וֹ כִּלָּי֥וֹן חָר֖וּץ שׁוֹטֵ֥ף צְדָקָֽה׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
For though Thy people Yisra᾽el be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return: total destruction is decreed but overflowing with righteousness.


###### Isaiah 10:23

כִּ֥י כָלָ֖ה וְנֶחֱרָצָ֑ה אֲדֹנָ֤י יֱהֹוִה֙ צְבָא֔וֹת עֹשֶׂ֖ה בְּקֶ֥רֶב כׇּל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃{פ}

For it is determined and decreed; the Lord God of hosts shall do it.


###### Isaiah 10:24

לָכֵ֗ן כֹּֽה־אָמַ֞ר אֲדֹנָ֤י יֱהֹוִה֙ צְבָא֔וֹת אַל־תִּירָ֥א עַמִּ֛י יֹשֵׁ֥ב צִיּ֖וֹן מֵאַשּׁ֑וּר בַּשֵּׁ֣בֶט יַכֶּ֔כָּה וּמַטֵּ֥הוּ יִשָּֽׂא־עָלֶ֖יךָ בְּדֶ֥רֶךְ מִצְרָֽיִם׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Therefore thus says the Lord God of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Żiyyon, be not afraid of Ashshur: he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Miżrayim.


###### Isaiah 10:25

כִּי־ע֖וֹד מְעַ֣ט מִזְעָ֑ר וְכָ֣לָה זַ֔עַם וְאַפִּ֖י עַל־תַּבְלִיתָֽם׃

But yet a very little while, and the indignation shall cease, and my anger shall be turned to their destruction.

וְעוֹרֵ֨ר עָלָ֜יו יְהֹוָ֤ה צְבָאוֹת֙ שׁ֔וֹט כְּמַכַּ֥ת מִדְיָ֖ן בְּצ֣וּר עוֹרֵ֑ב וּמַטֵּ֙הוּ֙ עַל־הַיָּ֔ם וּנְשָׂא֖וֹ בְּדֶ֥רֶךְ מִצְרָֽיִם׃

And the Lord of hosts shall stir up a whip for him according to the slaughter of Midyan at the rock of ῾Orev: and as his rod was upon the sea, so shall he lift it up after the manner of Miżrayim.

וְהָיָ֣ה**׀** בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֗וּא יָס֤וּר סֻבֳּלוֹ֙ מֵעַ֣ל שִׁכְמֶ֔ךָ וְעֻלּ֖וֹ מֵעַ֣ל צַוָּארֶ֑ךָ וְחֻבַּ֥ל עֹ֖ל מִפְּנֵי־שָֽׁמֶן׃

And it shall come to pass on that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the fatness.

בָּ֥א עַל־עַיַּ֖ת עָבַ֣ר בְּמִגְר֑וֹן לְמִכְמָ֖שׂ יַפְקִ֥יד כֵּלָֽיו׃

He is come to ῾Ayyat, he is passed to Migron; at Mikhmash he has left his baggage:


###### Isaiah 10:29

עָֽבְרוּ֙ מַעְבָּרָ֔ה גֶּ֖בַע מָל֣וֹן לָ֑נוּ חָֽרְדָה֙ הָרָמָ֔ה גִּבְעַ֥ת שָׁא֖וּל נָֽסָה׃

they are gone over the pass: they have taken up their lodging at Geva; Rama is afraid; Giv῾at-Sha᾽ul is fled.


###### Isaiah 10:30

צַהֲלִ֥י קוֹלֵ֖ךְ בַּת־גַּלִּ֑ים הַקְשִׁ֥יבִי לַ֖יְשָׁה עֲנִיָּ֥ה עֲנָתֽוֹת׃

Lift up thy voice, O Bat-gallim: hearken Laysha, O poor ῾Anatot.

נָֽדְדָ֖ה מַדְמֵנָ֑ה יֹשְׁבֵ֥י הַגֵּבִ֖ים הֵעִֽיזוּ׃

Madmena is removed; the inhabitants of Gevim flee for safety.


###### Isaiah 10:32

ע֥וֹד הַיּ֖וֹם בְּנֹ֣ב לַעֲמֹ֑ד יְנֹפֵ֤ף יָדוֹ֙ הַ֣ר (בית) [בַּת־]צִיּ֔וֹן גִּבְעַ֖ת יְרוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃{פ}

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
This very day he will halt at Nov: he will shake his hands against the mountain of the daughter of Żiyyon, the hill of Yerushalayim.

הִנֵּ֤ה הָאָדוֹן֙ יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת מְסָעֵ֥ף פֻּארָ֖ה בְּמַעֲרָצָ֑ה וְרָמֵ֤י הַקּוֹמָה֙ גְּדוּעִ֔ים וְהַגְּבֹהִ֖ים יִשְׁפָּֽלוּ׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Behold, the Master, the Lord of hosts, shall lop the bough with terror: and the high ones of stature shall be hewn down, and the haughty shall be humbled.


###### Isaiah 10:34

וְנִקַּ֛ף סִֽבְכֵ֥י הַיַּ֖עַר בַּבַּרְזֶ֑ל וְהַלְּבָנ֖וֹן בְּאַדִּ֥יר יִפּֽוֹל׃{ס}

And he shall cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Levanon shall fall by a mighty one.
