## Isaiah Chapter 27

###### Isaiah 27:1

בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֡וּא יִפְקֹ֣ד יְהֹוָה֩ בְּחַרְבּ֨וֹ הַקָּשָׁ֜ה וְהַגְּדוֹלָ֣ה וְהַחֲזָקָ֗ה עַ֤ל לִוְיָתָן֙ נָחָ֣שׁ בָּרִ֔חַ וְעַל֙ לִוְיָתָ֔ן נָחָ֖שׁ עֲקַלָּת֑וֹן וְהָרַ֥ג אֶת־הַתַּנִּ֖ין אֲשֶׁ֥ר בַּיָּֽם׃{ס}

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
On that day the Lord with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish Livyatan the flying serpent, and Livyatan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the crocodile that is in the sea.


###### Isaiah 27:2

בַּיּ֖וֹם הַה֑וּא כֶּ֥רֶם חֶ֖מֶר עַנּוּ־לָֽהּ׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
On that day sing to her, A vineyard of foaming wine.


###### Isaiah 27:3

אֲנִ֤י יְהֹוָה֙ נֹֽצְרָ֔הּ לִרְגָעִ֖ים אַשְׁקֶ֑נָּה פֶּ֚ן יִפְקֹ֣ד עָלֶ֔יהָ לַ֥יְלָה וָי֖וֹם אֶצֳּרֶֽנָּה׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
I the Lord do keep it; I will water it every moment: lest any hurt it, I will keep it night and day.


###### Isaiah 27:4

חֵמָ֖ה אֵ֣ין לִ֑י מִֽי־יִתְּנֵ֜נִי שָׁמִ֥יר שַׁ֙יִת֙ בַּמִּלְחָמָ֔ה אֶפְשְׂעָ֥ה בָ֖הּ אֲצִיתֶ֥נָּה יָּֽחַד׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Fury is not in me: who would set the thorns and weeds against me in battle? I would go through them, I would burn them together.


###### Isaiah 27:5

א֚וֹ יַחֲזֵ֣ק בְּמָעוּזִּ֔י יַעֲשֶׂ֥ה שָׁל֖וֹם לִ֑י שָׁל֖וֹם יַעֲשֶׂה־לִּֽי׃

Or let him take hold of my strength, that he may make peace with me; and he shall make peace with me.


###### Isaiah 27:6

הַבָּאִים֙ יַשְׁרֵ֣שׁ יַֽעֲקֹ֔ב יָצִ֥יץ וּפָרַ֖ח יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וּמָלְא֥וּ פְנֵי־תֵבֵ֖ל תְּנוּבָֽה׃{פ}

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
In days to come Ya῾aqov shall take root: Yisra᾽el shall blossom and bud, and the face of the world shall be filled with fruit.


###### Isaiah 27:7

הַכְּמַכַּ֥ת מַכֵּ֖הוּ הִכָּ֑הוּ אִם־כְּהֶ֥רֶג הֲרֻגָ֖יו הֹרָֽג׃

Has he smitten him, as he smote those that smote him? or is he slain according to the slaughter of them that are slain by him?


###### Isaiah 27:8

בְּסַאסְּאָ֖ה בְּשַׁלְחָ֣הּ תְּרִיבֶ֑נָּה הָגָ֛ה בְּרוּח֥וֹ הַקָּשָׁ֖ה בְּי֥וֹם קָדִֽים׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
By measure, by exile, thou didst contend with them; he removed her by his rough blast in the day of the east wind.


###### Isaiah 27:9

לָכֵ֗ן בְּזֹאת֙ יְכֻפַּ֣ר עֲוֺֽן־יַעֲקֹ֔ב וְזֶ֕ה כׇּל־פְּרִ֖י הָסִ֣ר חַטָּאת֑וֹ בְּשׂוּמ֣וֹ**׀** כׇּל־אַבְנֵ֣י מִזְבֵּ֗חַ כְּאַבְנֵי־גִר֙ מְנֻפָּצ֔וֹת לֹא־יָקֻ֥מוּ אֲשֵׁרִ֖ים וְחַמָּנִֽים׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
By this therefore shall the iniquity of Ya῾aqov be atoned; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when he makes all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the asherim and sun images shall not remain standing.


###### Isaiah 27:10

כִּ֣י עִ֤יר בְּצוּרָה֙ בָּדָ֔ד נָוֶ֕ה מְשֻׁלָּ֥ח וְנֶעֱזָ֖ב כַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר שָׁ֣ם יִרְעֶ֥ה עֵ֛גֶל וְשָׁ֥ם יִרְבָּ֖ץ וְכִלָּ֥ה סְעִפֶֽיהָ׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Yet the fortified city shall be solitary, and the habitation forsaken, and left like a wilderness: there shall the calf feed, and there shall he lie down, and consume its branches.


###### Isaiah 27:11

בִּיבֹ֤שׁ קְצִירָהּ֙ תִּשָּׁבַ֔רְנָה נָשִׁ֕ים בָּא֖וֹת מְאִיר֣וֹת אוֹתָ֑הּ כִּ֣י לֹ֤א עַם־בִּינוֹת֙ ה֔וּא עַל־כֵּן֙ לֹא־יְרַחֲמֶ֣נּוּ עֹשֵׂ֔הוּ וְיֹצְר֖וֹ לֹ֥א יְחֻנֶּֽנּוּ׃{פ}

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
When its boughs are withered, they shall be broken off: the women shall come, and set them on fire: for it is a people of no understanding: therefore he that made them will not have mercy on them, and he that formed them will show them no favour.


###### Isaiah 27:12

וְהָיָה֙ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֔וּא יַחְבֹּ֧ט יְהֹוָ֛ה מִשִּׁבֹּ֥לֶת הַנָּהָ֖ר עַד־נַ֣חַל מִצְרָ֑יִם וְאַתֶּ֧ם תְּלֻקְּט֛וּ לְאַחַ֥ד אֶחָ֖ד בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃{פ}

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall beat out his harvest from the strongly flowing river as far as the wadi of Miżrayim, and you shall be gathered up one by one, O children of Yisra᾽el.


###### Isaiah 27:13

וְהָיָ֣ה**׀** בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֗וּא יִתָּקַע֮ בְּשׁוֹפָ֣ר גָּדוֹל֒ וּבָ֗אוּ הָאֹֽבְדִים֙ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ אַשּׁ֔וּר וְהַנִּדָּחִ֖ים בְּאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם וְהִשְׁתַּחֲו֧וּ לַיהֹוָ֛ה בְּהַ֥ר הַקֹּ֖דֶשׁ בִּירוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃{פ}

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
And it shall come to pass on that day, that a great shofar shall be blown, and they shall come who were lost in the land of Ashshur, and the outcasts in the land of Miżrayim, and shall worship the Lord in the holy mountain at Yerushalayim.
