## Isaiah Chapter 32

###### Isaiah 32:1

הֵ֥ן לְצֶ֖דֶק יִמְלׇךְ־מֶ֑לֶךְ וּלְשָׂרִ֖ים לְמִשְׁפָּ֥ט יָשֹֽׂרוּ׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and as for princes, they shall rule in judgment.


###### Isaiah 32:2

וְהָיָה־אִ֥ישׁ כְּמַחֲבֵא־ר֖וּחַ וְסֵ֣תֶר זָ֑רֶם כְּפַלְגֵי־מַ֣יִם בְּצָי֔וֹן כְּצֵ֥ל סֶלַע־כָּבֵ֖ד בְּאֶ֥רֶץ עֲיֵפָֽה׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
And a man shall be as hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.


###### Isaiah 32:3

וְלֹ֥א תִשְׁעֶ֖ינָה עֵינֵ֣י רֹאִ֑ים וְאׇזְנֵ֥י שֹׁמְעִ֖ים תִּקְשַֽׁבְנָה׃

And the eyes of them that see shall not be blind, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken.


###### Isaiah 32:4

וּלְבַ֥ב נִמְהָרִ֖ים יָבִ֣ין לָדָ֑עַת וּלְשׁ֣וֹן עִלְּגִ֔ים תְּמַהֵ֖ר לְדַבֵּ֥ר צָחֽוֹת׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
The heart also of the rash shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly.


###### Isaiah 32:5

לֹא־יִקָּרֵ֥א ע֛וֹד לְנָבָ֖ל נָדִ֑יב וּלְכִילַ֕י לֹ֥א יֵאָמֵ֖ר שֽׁוֹעַ׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
The vile person shall be no more called liberal, nor the churl said to be bountiful.


###### Isaiah 32:6

כִּ֤י נָבָל֙ נְבָלָ֣ה יְדַבֵּ֔ר וְלִבּ֖וֹ יַעֲשֶׂה־אָ֑וֶן לַעֲשׂ֣וֹת חֹ֗נֶף וּלְדַבֵּ֤ר אֶל־יְהֹוָה֙ תּוֹעָ֔ה לְהָרִיק֙ נֶ֣פֶשׁ רָעֵ֔ב וּמַשְׁקֶ֥ה צָמֵ֖א יַחְסִֽיר׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
For the vile person speaks villainy, and his heart works iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and to utter error against the Lord, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.


###### Isaiah 32:7

וְכֵלַ֖י כֵּלָ֣יו רָעִ֑ים ה֚וּא זִמּ֣וֹת יָעָ֔ץ לְחַבֵּ֤ל (ענוים) [עֲנִיִּים֙] בְּאִמְרֵי־שֶׁ֔קֶר וּבְדַבֵּ֥ר אֶבְי֖וֹן מִשְׁפָּֽט׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
The instruments also of the churl are evil: he devises wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words, and the needy when he speaks right.


###### Isaiah 32:8

וְנָדִ֖יב נְדִיב֣וֹת יָעָ֑ץ וְה֖וּא עַל־נְדִיב֥וֹת יָקֽוּם׃{ס}

But the liberal devises liberal things; and by liberal things shall he stand.


###### Isaiah 32:9

נָשִׁים֙ שַׁאֲנַנּ֔וֹת קֹ֖מְנָה שְׁמַ֣עְנָה קוֹלִ֑י בָּנוֹת֙ בֹּֽטְח֔וֹת הַאְזֵ֖נָּה אִמְרָתִֽי׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Rise up, you women that are at ease, hear my voice; you complacent daughters, give ear to my speech.


###### Isaiah 32:10

יָמִים֙ עַל־שָׁנָ֔ה תִּרְגַּ֖זְנָה בֹּטְח֑וֹת כִּ֚י כָּלָ֣ה בָצִ֔יר אֹ֖סֶף בְּלִ֥י יָבֽוֹא׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
In a year and some days, you shall be troubled, you complacent women; for the vintage shall fail, the gathering shall not come.


###### Isaiah 32:11

חִרְדוּ֙ שַֽׁאֲנַנּ֔וֹת רְגָ֖זָה בֹּטְח֑וֹת פְּשֹׁ֣טָֽה וְעֹ֔רָה וַחֲג֖וֹרָה עַל־חֲלָצָֽיִם׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Tremble, you women that are at ease; be troubled, you complacent ones: strip, and make yourselves bare, and gird sackcloth upon your loins.


###### Isaiah 32:12

עַל־שָׁדַ֖יִם סֹפְדִ֑ים עַל־שְׂדֵי־חֶ֕מֶד עַל־גֶּ֖פֶן פֹּרִיָּֽה׃

Striking the breasts, for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine.


###### Isaiah 32:13

עַ֚ל אַדְמַ֣ת עַמִּ֔י ק֥וֹץ שָׁמִ֖יר תַּעֲלֶ֑ה כִּ֚י עַל־כׇּל־בָּתֵּ֣י מָשׂ֔וֹשׂ קִרְיָ֖ה עַלִּיזָֽה׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Upon the land of my people shall come up thorns and briers; yes, upon all the houses of joy in the joyous city:


###### Isaiah 32:14

כִּֽי־אַרְמ֣וֹן נֻטָּ֔שׁ הֲמ֥וֹן עִ֖יר עֻזָּ֑ב עֹ֣פֶל וָבַ֜חַן הָיָ֨ה בְעַ֤ד מְעָרוֹת֙ עַד־עוֹלָ֔ם מְשׂ֥וֹשׂ פְּרָאִ֖ים מִרְעֵ֥ה עֲדָרִֽים׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
because the palaces shall be forsaken; the city with its stir shall be deserted; the fort and tower shall be for dens for ever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture of flocks;


###### Isaiah 32:15

עַד־יֵ֨עָרֶ֥ה עָלֵ֛ינוּ ר֖וּחַ מִמָּר֑וֹם וְהָיָ֤ה מִדְבָּר֙ לַכַּרְמֶ֔ל (וכרמל) [וְהַכַּרְמֶ֖ל] לַיַּ֥עַר יֵחָשֵֽׁב׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
until a spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.


###### Isaiah 32:16

וְשָׁכַ֥ן בַּמִּדְבָּ֖ר מִשְׁפָּ֑ט וּצְדָקָ֖ה בַּכַּרְמֶ֥ל תֵּשֵֽׁב׃

Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field.


###### Isaiah 32:17

וְהָיָ֛ה מַעֲשֵׂ֥ה הַצְּדָקָ֖ה שָׁל֑וֹם וַֽעֲבֹדַת֙ הַצְּדָקָ֔ה הַשְׁקֵ֥ט וָבֶ֖טַח עַד־עוֹלָֽם׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance for ever.


###### Isaiah 32:18

וְיָשַׁ֥ב עַמִּ֖י בִּנְוֵ֣ה שָׁל֑וֹם וּֽבְמִשְׁכְּנוֹת֙ מִבְטַחִ֔ים וּבִמְנוּחֹ֖ת שַׁאֲנַנּֽוֹת׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;


###### Isaiah 32:19

וּבָרַ֖ד בְּרֶ֣דֶת הַיָּ֑עַר וּבַשִּׁפְלָ֖ה תִּשְׁפַּ֥ל הָעִֽיר׃

and it shall hail in the downfall of the forest, and the city shall descend into the valley.


###### Isaiah 32:20

אַשְׁרֵיכֶ֕ם זֹרְעֵ֖י עַל־כׇּל־מָ֑יִם מְשַׁלְּחֵ֥י רֶגֶל־הַשּׁ֖וֹר וְהַחֲמֽוֹר׃{ס}

Blessed are you that sow beside all waters, that let the feet of the ox and the ass range freely.
