###### Jeremiah 25:1

הַדָּבָ֞ר אֲשֶׁר־הָיָ֤ה עַֽל־יִרְמְיָ֙הוּ֙ עַל־כׇּל־עַ֣ם יְהוּדָ֔ה בַּשָּׁנָה֙ הָֽרְבִעִ֔ית לִיהוֹיָקִ֥ים בֶּן־יֹאשִׁיָּ֖הוּ מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֑ה הִ֗יא הַשָּׁנָה֙ הָרִ֣אשֹׁנִ֔ית לִנְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֖ר מֶ֥לֶךְ בָּבֶֽל׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
The word that came to Yirmeyahu concerning all the people of Yehuda in the fourth year of Yehoyaqim the son of Yoshiyyahu king of Yehuda, that was the first year of Nevukhadreżżar, king of Bavel;

אֲשֶׁ֨ר דִּבֶּ֜ר יִרְמְיָ֤הוּ הַנָּבִיא֙ עַל־כׇּל־עַ֣ם יְהוּדָ֔ה וְאֶ֛ל כׇּל־יֹשְׁבֵ֥י יְרוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם לֵאמֹֽר׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
which Yirmeyahu the prophet spoke to all the people of Yehuda, and to all the inhabitants of Yerushalayim, saying,

מִן־שְׁלֹ֣שׁ עֶשְׂרֵ֣ה שָׁנָ֡ה לְיֹאשִׁיָּ֣הוּ בֶן־אָמוֹן֩ מֶ֨לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֜ה וְעַ֣ד**׀** הַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֗ה זֶ֚ה שָׁלֹ֤שׁ וְעֶשְׂרִים֙ שָׁנָ֔ה הָיָ֥ה דְבַר־יְהֹוָ֖ה אֵלָ֑י וָאֲדַבֵּ֧ר אֲלֵיכֶ֛ם אַשְׁכֵּ֥ים וְדַבֵּ֖ר וְלֹ֥א שְׁמַעְתֶּֽם׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
From the thirteenth year of Yoshiyyahu, the son of Amon king of Yehuda, and until this day, these twenty three years, the word of the Lord has come to me, and I have spoken to you, from morning till night; but you have not hearkened.

וְשָׁלַח֩ יְהֹוָ֨ה אֲלֵיכֶ֜ם אֶֽת־כׇּל־עֲבָדָ֧יו הַנְּבִאִ֛ים הַשְׁכֵּ֥ם וְשָׁלֹ֖חַ וְלֹ֣א שְׁמַעְתֶּ֑ם וְלֹא־הִטִּיתֶ֥ם אֶֽת־אׇזְנְכֶ֖ם לִשְׁמֹֽעַ׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
And the Lord has sent to you all his servants the prophets, sending them from morning till night; but you have not hearkened, nor inclined your ear to hear.


###### Jeremiah 25:5

לֵאמֹ֗ר שֽׁוּבוּ־נָ֞א אִ֣ישׁ מִדַּרְכּ֤וֹ הָרָעָה֙ וּמֵרֹ֣עַ מַעַלְלֵיכֶ֔ם וּשְׁבוּ֙ עַל־הָ֣אֲדָמָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר נָתַ֧ן יְהֹוָ֛ה לָכֶ֖ם וְלַאֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֑ם לְמִן־עוֹלָ֖ם וְעַד־עוֹלָֽם׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
They said, Turn back now everyone from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that the Lord has given to you and to your fathers for ever and ever:


###### Jeremiah 25:6

וְאַל־תֵּלְכ֗וּ אַֽחֲרֵי֙ אֱלֹהִ֣ים אֲחֵרִ֔ים לְעׇבְדָ֖ם וּלְהִשְׁתַּחֲוֺ֣ת לָהֶ֑ם וְלֹֽא־תַכְעִ֤יסוּ אוֹתִי֙ בְּמַעֲשֵׂ֣ה יְדֵיכֶ֔ם וְלֹ֥א אָרַ֖ע לָכֶֽם׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
and do not go after other gods to serve them, and to worship them, and do not provoke me to anger with the works of your hands; and I will do you no hurt.


###### Jeremiah 25:7

וְלֹא־שְׁמַעְתֶּ֥ם אֵלַ֖י נְאֻם־יְהֹוָ֑ה לְמַ֧עַן (הכעסוני) [הַכְעִיסֵ֛נִי] בְּמַעֲשֵׂ֥ה יְדֵיכֶ֖ם לְרַ֥ע לָכֶֽם׃{פ}

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Yet you have not hearkened to me, says the Lord; that you might provoke me to anger with the work of your hands to your own hurt.


###### Jeremiah 25:8

לָכֵ֕ן כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֖ר יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֑וֹת יַ֕עַן אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹֽא־שְׁמַעְתֶּ֖ם אֶת־דְּבָרָֽי׃

Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts; Because you have not heard my words,


###### Jeremiah 25:9

הִנְנִ֣י שֹׁלֵ֡חַ וְלָקַחְתִּי֩ אֶת־כׇּל־מִשְׁפְּח֨וֹת צָפ֜וֹן נְאֻם־יְהֹוָ֗ה וְאֶל־נְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֣ר מֶלֶךְ־בָּבֶל֮ עַבְדִּי֒ וַהֲבִ֨אֹתִ֜ים עַל־הָאָ֤רֶץ הַזֹּאת֙ וְעַל־יֹ֣שְׁבֶ֔יהָ וְעַ֛ל כׇּל־הַגּוֹיִ֥ם הָאֵ֖לֶּה סָבִ֑יב וְהַ֣חֲרַמְתִּ֔ים וְשַׂמְתִּים֙ לְשַׁמָּ֣ה וְלִשְׁרֵקָ֔ה וּלְחׇרְב֖וֹת עוֹלָֽם׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, says the Lord, and Nevukhadreżżar the king of Bavel, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against its inhabitants, and against all these nations round about, and will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and a hissing, and perpetual ruins.

וְהַאֲבַדְתִּ֣י מֵהֶ֗ם ק֤וֹל שָׂשׂוֹן֙ וְק֣וֹל שִׂמְחָ֔ה ק֥וֹל חָתָ֖ן וְק֣וֹל כַּלָּ֑ה ק֥וֹל רֵחַ֖יִם וְא֥וֹר נֵֽר׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Moreover, I will take from them the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the lamp.


###### Jeremiah 25:11

וְהָֽיְתָה֙ כׇּל־הָאָ֣רֶץ הַזֹּ֔את לְחׇרְבָּ֖ה לְשַׁמָּ֑ה וְעָ֨בְד֜וּ הַגּוֹיִ֥ם הָאֵ֛לֶּה אֶת־מֶ֥לֶךְ בָּבֶ֖ל שִׁבְעִ֥ים שָׁנָֽה׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
And this whole land shall be a ruin, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Bavel seventy years.


###### Jeremiah 25:12

וְהָיָ֣ה כִמְלֹ֣אות שִׁבְעִ֣ים שָׁנָ֡ה אֶפְקֹ֣ד עַל־מֶֽלֶךְ־בָּבֶל֩ וְעַל־הַגּ֨וֹי הַה֧וּא נְאֻם־יְהֹוָ֛ה אֶת־עֲוֺנָ֖ם וְעַל־אֶ֣רֶץ כַּשְׂדִּ֑ים וְשַׂמְתִּ֥י אֹת֖וֹ לְשִֽׁמְמ֥וֹת עוֹלָֽם׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Bavel, and that nation, says the Lord, for their iniquity, and the land of the Kasdim, and will make it everlasting desolation.


###### Jeremiah 25:13

(והבאותי) [וְהֵֽבֵאתִי֙] עַל־הָאָ֣רֶץ הַהִ֔יא אֶת־כׇּל־דְּבָרַ֖י אֲשֶׁר־דִּבַּ֣רְתִּי עָלֶ֑יהָ אֵ֤ת כׇּל־הַכָּתוּב֙ בַּסֵּ֣פֶר הַזֶּ֔ה אֲשֶׁר־נִבָּ֥א יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ עַל־כׇּל־הַגּוֹיִֽם׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
And I will bring upon that land all my words which I have pronounced against it, all that is written in this book, which Yirmeyahu has prophesied against all the nations.


###### Jeremiah 25:14

כִּ֣י עָֽבְדוּ־בָ֤ם גַּם־הֵ֙מָּה֙ גּוֹיִ֣ם רַבִּ֔ים וּמְלָכִ֖ים גְּדוֹלִ֑ים וְשִׁלַּמְתִּ֥י לָהֶ֛ם כְּפׇעֳלָ֖ם וּכְמַעֲשֵׂ֥ה יְדֵיהֶֽם׃{פ}

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
For many nations and great kings shall enslave them also: and I will recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the works of their own hands.


###### Jeremiah 25:15

כִּ֣י כֹה֩ אָמַ֨ר יְהֹוָ֜ה אֱלֹהֵ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ אֵלַ֔י קַ֠ח אֶת־כּ֨וֹס הַיַּ֧יִן הַחֵמָ֛ה הַזֹּ֖את מִיָּדִ֑י וְהִשְׁקִיתָ֤ה אֹתוֹ֙ אֶת־כׇּל־הַגּוֹיִ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֧ר אָנֹכִ֛י שֹׁלֵ֥חַ אוֹתְךָ֖ אֲלֵיהֶֽם׃

For thus says the Lord God of Yisra᾽el to me; Take this wine cup of fury at my hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send thee, to drink it.


###### Jeremiah 25:16

וְשָׁת֕וּ וְהִֽתְגֹּעֲשׁ֖וּ וְהִתְהֹלָ֑לוּ מִפְּנֵ֣י הַחֶ֔רֶב אֲשֶׁ֛ר אָנֹכִ֥י שֹׁלֵ֖חַ בֵּינֹתָֽם׃

And they shall drink, and stagger, and be crazed, because of the sword that I will send among them.

וָאֶקַּ֥ח אֶת־הַכּ֖וֹס מִיַּ֣ד יְהֹוָ֑ה וָֽאַשְׁקֶה֙ אֶת־כׇּל־הַגּוֹיִ֔ם אֲשֶׁר־שְׁלָחַ֥נִי יְהֹוָ֖ה אֲלֵיהֶֽם׃

Then I took the cup at the Lord’s hand, and made all the nations to drink, unto whom the Lord had sent me:


###### Jeremiah 25:18

אֶת־יְרוּשָׁלַ֙͏ִם֙ וְאֶת־עָרֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֔ה וְאֶת־מְלָכֶ֖יהָ אֶת־שָׂרֶ֑יהָ לָתֵ֨ת אֹתָ֜ם לְחׇרְבָּ֧ה לְשַׁמָּ֛ה לִשְׁרֵקָ֥ה וְלִקְלָלָ֖ה כַּיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃

namely, Yerushalayim, and the cities of Yehuda, and its kings, and its princes, to make them a ruin, an astonishment, a hissing, and a curse; as it is this day;

Par῾o king of Miżrayim, and his servants, and his princes, and all his people;

וְאֵת֙ כׇּל־מַלְכֵי־צֹ֔ר וְאֵ֖ת כׇּל־מַלְכֵ֣י צִיד֑וֹן וְאֵת֙ מַלְכֵ֣י הָאִ֔י אֲשֶׁ֖ר בְּעֵ֥בֶר הַיָּֽם׃

and all the kings of Żor, and all the kings of Żidon, and the kings of island which is beyond the sea,

Dedan, and Tema, and Buz, and all that have the corners of their hair cut off,

and all the kings of ῾Arav, and all the kings of the ῾Erev that dwell in the desert,

וְאֵ֣ת**׀** כׇּל־מַלְכֵ֣י הַצָּפ֗וֹן הַקְּרֹבִ֤ים וְהָרְחֹקִים֙ אִ֣ישׁ אֶל־אָחִ֔יו וְאֵת֙ כׇּל־הַמַּמְלְכ֣וֹת הָאָ֔רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֖ר עַל־פְּנֵ֣י הָאֲדָמָ֑ה וּמֶ֥לֶךְ שֵׁשַׁ֖ךְ יִשְׁתֶּ֥ה אַחֲרֵיהֶֽם׃

and all the kings of the north both far and near, one after another, and all the kingdoms of the world, who are upon the face of the earth: and the king of Sheshakh shall drink after them.

וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֲלֵיהֶ֡ם{פ}
כֹּה־אָמַר֩ יְהֹוָ֨ה צְבָא֜וֹת אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל שְׁת֤וּ וְשִׁכְרוּ֙ וּקְי֔וּ וְנִפְל֖וּ וְלֹ֣א תָק֑וּמוּ מִפְּנֵ֣י הַחֶ֔רֶב אֲשֶׁ֛ר אָנֹכִ֥י שֹׁלֵ֖חַ בֵּינֵיכֶֽם׃

Therefore thou shalt say to them, Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Yisra᾽el; Drink, and be drunk, and vomit, and fail, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you.

וְהָיָ֗ה כִּ֧י יְמָאֲנ֛וּ לָקַחַת־הַכּ֥וֹס מִיָּדְךָ֖ לִשְׁתּ֑וֹת וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֲלֵיהֶ֗ם כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֛ר יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת שָׁת֥וֹ תִשְׁתּֽוּ׃

And it shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at thy hand to drink, then shalt thou say to them, Thus says the Lord of hosts; You shall certainly drink.

כִּי֩ הִנֵּ֨ה בָעִ֜יר אֲשֶׁ֧ר נִֽקְרָא־שְׁמִ֣י עָלֶ֗יהָ אָֽנֹכִי֙ מֵחֵ֣ל לְהָרַ֔ע וְאַתֶּ֖ם הִנָּקֵ֣ה תִנָּק֑וּ לֹ֣א תִנָּק֔וּ כִּ֣י חֶ֗רֶב אֲנִ֤י קֹרֵא֙ עַל־כׇּל־יֹשְׁבֵ֣י הָאָ֔רֶץ נְאֻ֖ם יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
For, lo, I begin to bring evil on the city which is called by my name, and should you go utterly unpunished? you shall not go unpunished: for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, says the Lord of hosts.


###### Jeremiah 25:30

וְאַתָּה֙ תִּנָּבֵ֣א אֲלֵיהֶ֔ם אֵ֥ת כׇּל־הַדְּבָרִ֖ים הָאֵ֑לֶּה וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֲלֵיהֶ֗ם יְהֹוָ֞ה מִמָּר֤וֹם יִשְׁאָג֙ וּמִמְּע֤וֹן קׇדְשׁוֹ֙ יִתֵּ֣ן קוֹל֔וֹ שָׁאֹ֤ג יִשְׁאַג֙ עַל־נָוֵ֔הוּ הֵידָד֙ כְּדֹרְכִ֣ים יַעֲנֶ֔ה אֶ֥ל כׇּל־יֹשְׁבֵ֖י הָאָֽרֶץ׃

Therefore prophesy against them all these words, and say to them, The Lord shall roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he shall mightily roar because of his habitation; he shall give a shout, as they that tread the grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth.

בָּ֤א שָׁאוֹן֙ עַד־קְצֵ֣ה הָאָ֔רֶץ כִּ֣י רִ֤יב לַיהֹוָה֙ בַּגּוֹיִ֔ם נִשְׁפָּ֥ט ה֖וּא לְכׇל־בָּשָׂ֑ר הָרְשָׁעִ֛ים נְתָנָ֥ם לַחֶ֖רֶב נְאֻם־יְהֹוָֽה׃{ס}

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth; for the Lord has a controversy with the nations, he will enter into judgment with all flesh; he will give them that are wicked to the sword, says the Lord.

כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת הִנֵּ֥ה רָעָ֛ה יֹצֵ֖את מִגּ֣וֹי אֶל־גּ֑וֹי וְסַ֣עַר גָּד֔וֹל יֵע֖וֹר מִיַּרְכְּתֵי־אָֽרֶץ׃

**The Koren Jerusalem Bible:**
Thus says the Lord of hosts, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great stormwind shall be raised up from the far ends of the earth.
