ראובן היה לו אשה אחת ובן אחד וארבע בנות שלא נשאו הבנות בחיי אביהן. ראובן נתן בית אחד לאשתו בלי תנאי ובאומד הדעת כתב צוואה וחלק את ירושתו לבנו ולבנותיו וגם כותב לאשתו את כתובתה כשיפטר יחלקו הירושה כפי הצוואה וכן היה. כשנפטר לב"ע חלקו הבנות והבן ואשתו כפי צווי אביהם.
