הבת אינה יורשת עם הבן, כמבואר בש"ע חו"מ סימן רע"ו. הדין הזה לא שונה ולא ישונה. אולם לבת הלא נשואה נותנים עישור מנכסי אביה לנדוניא כמבואר בש"ע אה"ע סימן קי"ג.

בפָרַס ענייני הירושה נתונים בידי חכמי טהרן שינהגו בה לפי דיני ישראל, ונתעורר שם ויכוח על שאין הבת יורשת עם הבן. והוצרך כב' הרב הראשי לסדר להם בעד העתיד שיחתמו בשעת החופה בתוך שטר הכתובה חיוב נוסף על חיובי הכתובה בזו הלשון: עוד התחייב הבעל שכל בת תירש מעזבונו כחצי ירושת הזכר¹⁶⁰.
