בימים אלו קבלנו 100 תלמידים ממעברת שבות־עם וביניהם 3 תלמידים של משפחה ערבית שגרה במקום (בן אחד בן 9 שנים ושתי בנות 11 ו־13 שנים).

בעקבות זאת התעוררה אצלנו בעיה חמורה האם רשאים אנו מבחינת הדין ללמד תלמידים אלה לימודי קודש כגון: תפלה תורה וכו' כפי שתכנית הלימודים של ביה"ס הממ"ד מחייבת או לאו.

בתשובה לשאלתך במכתבך מיום ו' בחדש זה, הנני משיב בשם כב' הרב הראשי שדבר האיסור ללמד לאינו יהודי תורה מבואר הוא בפוסקים עפ"י הגמרא במסכת חגיגה דף י"ג ע"א ותוספות שם¹⁶³ וכן במסכת סנהדרין דף נ"ט ע"א¹⁶⁴.
