השאלה היא: אדם שלא ידוע לנו אם הוא כהן ורוצה להתחתן עם גרושה האם צריך להביא עדים שהוא לא כהן? ובפרט אם הוא אומר שהוא לא כהן נכריח אותו להביא עדים שכדבריו כן הוא?!

באשר לבירור יש להתייחס לפי המקרה אם יצא עליו קול שהוא כהן או שיש חשש מסתבר שהוא כהן והוא מכחיש, יש לחקור ולדרוש היטב אודותיו ולקבל עדויות.
