לפני כחודש ימים פנה ח"כ ח. מגורי־כהן אל כב' הרב הראשי בענין המקרה שארע באחד היישובים בפרוזדור ירושלים. הוא סיפר שצעירה מבני העדה התימנית עמדה להנשא עם כהן, אולם ימים אחדים לפני מועד החתונה הופיע אביה (שגרש את אשתו בהיות הבת בגיל שנה) בפני בית־הדין האזורי והודיע שהוא קידש את בתו בגיל שנתיים וכי עוד באותה שנה היא נתגרשה והוא קיבל את גיטה. לאחר שמסר ידיעה זו נעלם וביה"ד ביקש את עזרת המשטרה למצאו. ח"כ מגורי־כהן ביקש לדעת אם יכולה היא להנשא לכהן.

בשאלות מסוג זה אין פונים אל הרב הראשי, אולם מפני הנימוס השיב כב' הרב לח"כ מגורי־כהן כי פרטי המקרה הם מוזרים בעיניו וכי הדבר נמצא בבירור בפני בית־הדין האזורי ולכן עליו לחכות למסקנות בית־הדין.
