לעצם הענין. קרה מקרה, שאשתי היתה צריכה לטבול ביום שלישי, ונודע לי מפי אנשים, שאסור לאשה לטבול, אלא ביום שתזדווג עם בעלה. דהינו במקרה הזה ביום ו'.

לשאלתך אם יכולה האשה לטבול כשאין בעלה בעיר, הורני כב' הראשון לציון הרב הראשי לישראל להשיבך, כי גדול אחד כתב שיש בזה חשש סכנה. (בעל ספר שבות יעקב ח"ג סי' ע"ז). ויש גדולים אחרים אשר לא חששו לזה. ולכן טוב שלא תדע האשה מחשש זה. אולם אם שמעה על כך והיא חוששת – טוב שלא תטבול כל עוד אין בעלה בעיר ואינו עומד להגיע בו ביום⁶⁸.
