לאחר מכן נשמעו טענות נגד הכוונה לפנות את הקברים, מחוגים שונים, בין השאר מן הטעמים שאין אפשרות לזהות את הגופות, וכן שבית־הקברות בברגן־בלזן נשמר כהלכה ואין כבוד המתים מחולל.

לפני ימים אחדים קיבלתי מכתב מאגודת הרבנים באמריקה בו הם מבקשים לדעת את נימוקי החלטתנו הנ"ל. כמו־כן קיבלנו מכתב ממר י. רוזנזפט בענין זה, וממנו אנו למדים שהענין עומד עתה על הפרק.
