יהודי בחו"ל שחי עם לא יהודיה. אביו לא ישב שבעה כאשר הבן התחיל לגור עם הגויה. בין האב לבן שררו כל הזמן יחסי ידידות. האב בצוואתו לא כתב מאומה שאינו משאיר לבן כלום או שאינו מרשה לבן לשאת מטתו במותו.

בתשובה למכתב שאלתך, בענין בן נשוי לנכרית, שלמרות זאת היו היחסים בין האב והבן טובים, ולא הוכיחו אביו מימיו¹⁰⁶, ועתה מת האב, אם מותר לבן הנ"ל להיות אחד הנושאים את מיטת אביו או לאו, הורנו כב' הרב הראשי להשיבך כי אמנם דבר זה יעורר קיטרוג על המת, אך אם עומד הבן על כך – מותר¹⁰⁷.
