בבית הכנסת הספרדי הגדול שהוקם במרכז נתניה, הונהג שבשיר "לכה דודי" מדלגין ארבעה בתים: התנערי, לא תבושי, והיו למשסה, ימין ושמאל, ומנמקין את הנוהג החדש הזה בגלל היותו מנהג ירושלים ורצוי להנהיגו בכל מקום.

הדבר נראה מוזר בעיני בגלל דילוג בתים יפים כמו הנ"ל ושהתוכן שלהם אנחנו קוראים אותו בהפטרות של שבעה דנחמותא.

נכון הוא שיש בירושלים בתי־כנסת אשר בהם מדלגים שלושה או ארבעה בתים מהשיר "לכה דודי" – כפי שציין כב', אולם לא ידוע טעמם, ובספרי המנהגים של ירושלים לא מוזכר דבר זה כלל. ¹³⁰
