ושני פעלים הבאים על פועל אחד – דרך הלשון שיבוא שם הפועל בין שני הפועלים. "ויגדל הילד ויגמל".

And for verbs that come with one subject – it is the custom of the language for the noun to come in between the two verbs, like ויגדל הילד ויגמל (And the child grew, and was weaned)²⁴⁶.

ובמקום שבא השם אחרי שני הפעלים – הוא זרות בלשון, ודרשוהו חז"ל תמיד שסמך שני הפעלים להשוותם זה לזה באיזה דבר; או שהיו תכופים ברגע אחד (ויקרא ס' א, צו ס' קעט)

And in a place where the noun comes after two verbs – this is unusual in the language, and the sages of blessed memory will always interpret the two verbs adjacent to one another to be alike in a certain matter or that they occur at the same time.
