ונמצה על קיר המזבח (And the priest shall bring it to the altar, and pinch off its head, and make it smoke on the altar; and the blood thereof shall be drained out on the side of the altar)³¹⁹ – המזבח (altar) is repeated in order to compare המזבח with respect to smoke to המזבח with respect to draining; just as smoke is above, so is draining. And it is clarified later in Rule 159 and Rule 160.
