במקום שנזכר הפעל ושם הפועל ומלה הרומזת על גוף הפעל [כמו **אותי, עליו, לא, אליו**, וכדומה] – לפעמים יקדים שם הפועל ולפעמים יקדים את המלה. **והקטיר אותו הכהן – והקטיר הכהן אותו**; **וכפר עליו הכהן – וכפר הכהן עליו**.

**Ayelet Hashachar, translated by Betzalel Avraham Feinstein, 2021:**
In a place where the verb, the subject, and a preposition/pronoun that indicates the object are mentioned (like **אותי**, **עליו**, **לא**, **אליו**) – sometimes the subject comes first and sometimes the preposition/pronoun will come first.**והקטיר אותו הכהן** - **והקטיר הכהן אותו**; **וכפר עליו הכהן** - **וכפר הכהן עליו**.

וכל זה אינו תלוי במקרה. רק בכל מקום שמקדים את המלה רוצה לדייק את המלה לאיזה דיוק, כמו "עליו" ולא על חברו וכדומה (ויקרא ס' רעו. מצורע ס' קלא). וכן במה שכתוב "אשר יפול מהם אל תוכו", "והזה עליו מן הדם", שהקדים את המלה אל השם – יש בו דיוק (שמיני ס' קכו, אחרי ס' מח)

**Ayelet Hashachar, translated by Betzalel Avraham Feinstein, 2021:**
And none of this is accidental. Only in a place where the preposition/pronoun comes first does it mean to be precise with the preposition/pronoun, like **** *עליו*(upon him) - and not על חברו (upon his friend), etc. And moreover, when it is written אשר יפול מהם אל תוכו (whereinto any of them fall)⁴³³ and והזה עליו מן הדם (And he shall sprinkle of the blood upon it with his finger)⁴³⁴, the preposition/pronoun precedes the noun – so it comes to be precise.
