דרך הכתוב לדבר תמיד בדרך לא זו אף זו. דהיינו שהדבר שיש בו חידוש על חברו יאמר לבסוף, בענין שיוסיף במאוחר על הקודם; ולא בהפך.

The custom of the Scripture is to always speak as *לא זו אף זו* (not only this, but also this), meaning that a matter which has in it something novel about its associate will say so in the end so that the latter adds new information to the former, but never the reverse.
