וכל הפעלים שאי אפשר להם בלא פועל – הלשון אחד בפועל ובנפעל. **מלוה לוה, מכה מוכה, רוצח נרצח**. ואם הלשון משונה ביניהם – יצויר אחד בלא חברו. כמו **נותן לוקח**, יצויר לוקח בלא נותן. וכן יצויר קונה בלא מוכר.

And all verbs for which it is impossible for them to be without a subject – the one language will be in active and passive, **מלוה לוה**(to lend/to borrow), **מכה מוכה** (to hit/to be hit), **רוצח נרצח** (to murder/to be murdered). And if the language is unusual between them – it is depicted that one is without its associate: As with **נותן לוקח** (give/take) - it is depicted as taking without necessarily giving.

וזה ההבדל בין פעל **כרה** ובין פעל **קנה**. הכורה הוא רק מן המוכר במחיר, והקונה יהיה ע"י כל אופן שלו – "קונה שמים וארץ", "אשת המת קניתי". (אמור פז)

And moreover, קונה מוכר (sell/acquire) is depicted as acquiring without necessarily being sold. And this is the difference between the verb **כרה** (buy) and the verb **קנה** (acquire): **כרה** is only from the seller with a price. And **קנה** can be through any manner - קונה שמים וארץ (Maker of heaven and earth)⁵⁴. אשת המת קניתי (the wife of the dead)⁵⁵.
