וכשאמר "**שנה בשנה**" פירושו שיכול לכנס משנה לחברתה. וזה מבדיל בינו ובין "**שנה שנה**", בלא אות היחוס שבא להוראת הכללות ופירושו בכל שנה. (צו סימן טז):

And when it says **שנה בשנה** (As a servant hired year by year shall he be with him)⁶⁰², it means that one is able to enter from the middle of a calendar year to the following calendar year. And this is distinguished from **שנה שנה**, without the prefix, which comes to teach inclusion and means *in all of a year*.
