מלת **דְבַר** יורה לפעמים על דבר שלם ולפעמים על דבר קצתיי. ויש בזה הבדל בין אם בא במשפט מחייב ובין אם בא במשפט שולל. התבאר באורך (ויקרא סימן רמד). ומצד זה מלת 'דבר' דינו כריבוי (שם סימן שא).

The word **דְבַר** (matter) sometimes teaches about a complete matter and sometimes teaches about part of a matter. And there is in this a difference between whether it comes as a sentence which obliglates or it comes as a sentence which prohibits. And from this perspective, the word דבר comes as an amplificatory expression.
