ועל כן נוכל לצוות על הרצון ולא על החפץ. ולא נמצא ציוי או בקשה מן על 'חפץ' בשום מקום, רק מפעל 'רצה'.

And thus, one is able to command with respect to one’s רצון (will) but not one’s חפץ (desire). And commanding or requesting with the verb חפץ is not found anywhere, only with the verb רצה.

ובכל זה אי אפשר לצוות את האדם רק על רצונו, לא על רצון אחרים (ויקרא ס' כו)

ולא נמצא "**נרצה**" בנפעל (על הוראת החפץ) על הרוצה, רק על הדבר הרצוי. (ויקרא ס' לא)

**נרצה** is never found in passive voice (on commanding one’s desire) with respect to the one who wills, only with respect to a matter that is willed.
