**פנה** הוא ששם פניו לאיזה דבר. ויהיה לפעמים לעשות בו מעשה ולפעמים רק להסתכל בלבד. (קדושים סימן ו)

**פנה** (face) means that one sets his face to a certain matter. And sometimes it will be to do a deed and sometimes it will only be to watch.

ואצל ה' – בפניה לטובה בא שימוש מלת "**אל**", "ופניתי אליכם"; ולרעה בא **שימוש הב'** – "ונתתי פני בכם". (אחרי סימן קח)

And with respect to God – when He sets His face for good, the word **אל** (towards) is used - ופניתי אליכם (and I will have respect to you)⁶⁸²; and for evil, the prefix **ב** is used - ונתתי פני בכם (And I will set My face against you)⁶⁸³.
