שם **נבלה** הוא מצד הניבול והמיאוס, ולא יפול על העצמות והחלקים הקשים הבלתי נמאסים (שמיני ס' קלח. אחרי ס' קכג). [ועיין שמיני סימן פג איך יצדק שם 'נבלה' בתולעים]

The noun **נבלה** (carcass) refers to the obscene and the repulsive, and does not mean the bones and the hard parts which are not disgusting.

ויפול גם על אבר אחד הנופל מן החי (שמיני סימן צו, וסימן קלח). ודוקא אם דומה כמיתת החי כגון אבר שאין עושה חליפים או בשר גידין ועצמות (שמיני ס' צז). וכן יצדק 'מיתה' על אבר אחד (שמיני ס' קטו).

And it also refers to one limb that falls off of a living creature. And precisely, if it is similar to death of a living creature, for example a limb which is not replaceable or the flesh of tendons and bones. And moreover, מיתה (death) is correct when referring to one limb.
