העברי יציין החלוקה שבין הזכר והנקבה (כל עוד שידבר בבחינת מולידיהם) בשם **בן ובת**. ובשם **זכר ונקבה** לא מציין רק אם מדבר מאנשים גדולים, או שלא בבחינת אבות המולידים, או ביתר בעלי חיים. (תזריע סימן ד)

The Hebrew indicates the division between a male and a female (as long as it talks in the sense of one’s offspring) with the nouns **בן** (son) and **בת** (daughter). And with respect to the nouns **זכר** (male) and **נקבה** (female), this only indicates that it is talking about adults, or that it is not in the sense of the fathers who begot them, or that they are not human.
