יש הבדל בין [**ארז – ברוש, ארזים – ברושים**] ובין [**עץ ארץ, עצי ארזים, עצי ברושים**]. שכל מקום שיאמר "עץ ארז ועצי ברושים" יכוין על העצים הנקצצים. אבל שם "**ארז־ארזים**" יבוא בין על הקצוץ בין על המחובר. וכשבא על הקצוץ יכוין על ארזים שלמים כמו שהם במחובר.(מצורע ס' יב)

There is a difference between **ארז - ברוש, ארזים – ברושים** (cedar and cypress) and **עץ ארץ , עצי ארזים , עצי ברושים** (wood of land, cedar wood, cypress wood): Any place where it says עץ ארז ועצי ברושים, it means trees that are cut. But the noun**ארז-ארזים** (cedar) comes whether the wood is cut or is still connected to the tree. And when it refers to cutting, it means whole cedars while they are still connected to the tree.
