ויש הבדל בין **מוסר** ל**תוכחה**. המיסר כופה להמיוסר, אם בשוטים או בדברים, ובא מן הגדול א' להקטן, ונקשר לרוב עם העתיד. והמוכיח הוא לרוב בראיות, ובא לרוב על העבר (קדושים סימן מג)

And there is a difference between **מוסר** and **תוכחה** (reproof): **מוסר** compels one to be chastised, with either whips or words, and it comes from great to small, and it is usually about the future. And **תוכחה** is usually with proof/evidence and is usually about the past.
