ויש הבדל בין שם "**דוד**" ובין שם "**אחי האב**". ששם "דוד" לא בא רק על אחי אביו מאב, ושם "אחי האב" כולל בין מי האב בין מן האם. (קדושים ס' קיט. בהר ס' צז)

And there is a difference between the noun **דוד** (uncle) and the noun **אחי האב** (brother of the father): The noun **דוד** only means the paternal brother of his father, while the noun **אחי האב** also includes the maternal brother of his father.
