וכן בשם הקיבוץ – **עדה, מחנה, וכדומה** – יבוא הפעל שאחריו בלשון יחיד ולפעמים בלשון רבים – "**ותשא** כל העדה", "**ויבואו** כל העדה". ויש הבדל. כשידבר על כללותם יבוא הפעל בלשון יחיד, וכשידבר על כל פרט יבוא בלשון רבים. (ויקרא ס' רמב)

And moreover, with a collective noun – **עדה** (congregation), **מחנה** (camp), etc. – the verb that is before it will come in singular and sometimes in plural - **ותשא** כל העדה (And all the congregation lifted)¹²², **ויבואו** כל העדה (And the children of Israel, even the whole congregation, came)¹²³. And there is a distinction: Whenever it is speaking about them as a whole, the verb will come in singular, and whenever it is speaking about each individual, it will come in plural.
