ושמות המתכיות לא יתרבו, כגון **כסף נחושת ברזל**. ועל זה אמרו מה כלים שנים אף כסף שנים. (ויקרא ס' שנא)

**Ayelet Hashachar, translated by Betzalel Avraham Feinstein, 2021:**
And the names of metals do not come in plural, for instance **כסף נחושת ברזל** (silver, copper, iron). And they say about the verse כי יתן איש אל רעהו כסף או כלים (If a man deliver to his neighbour money or stuff to keep)¹²⁴ *מה כלים שנים אף כסף שנים* (just as כלים is plural, so too כסף must be plural)¹²⁵.

ודרך הלשון לומר "**חלב** השלמים" בלשון יחיד. וכשאומר "**חלבי** השלמים" – כיון על חלבים שונים של כל מיני הקרבנות, ותפס שלמים מפני שנתפרשו אצל שלמים. (צו ס' יח).

And the custom of the language is to say **חלב** השלמים (fat of the peace offerings) in singular. And when it says **חלבי** השלמים (fat of the peace offerings)¹²⁶ – it is in plural, meaning a diversity of fats of all types of the sacrifices, and it uses the language שלמים (peace offerings) because their laws are explained in detail through the laws of שלמים.
