ובכל זה במה שבא אצל מנורה שם הקיבוץ 'נר' בלשון יחיד ותפס הפעל ביחיד – "יערך אותו" – פירשוהו חז"ל שמ"ש זה שנית בפר' אמור בא לדרשה, ופי' נר אחד המערבי.(אמור ס' ריב). ומ"ש בפר' תצוה "נר" בלשון יחיד יש דרוש על שלא אמר "נרות".(אמור ס' רטו).

**Ayelet Hashachar, translated by Betzalel Avraham Feinstein, 2021:**
Nevertheless, when it comes with the collective noun נר (lamp) in singular and it uses the verb in singular - יערך אותו (Aaron and his sons shall set it in order)¹²⁸ – the sages of blessed memory explain that when this is written again¹²⁹, it comes for a homiletical interpretation, that it means the one western lamp. And when נר is written in singular¹³⁰, there is a homiletical interpretation with respect to the fact that it does not say נרות (lamps).

**Ayelet Hashachar, translated by Betzalel Avraham Feinstein, 2021:**
And ידו (his hands)¹³¹ with respect to ordination means *his hands*, and it comes in singular to inform of the power, and they learn this from the fact that it is written as ידו but is supposed to be read as ידיו.
