**ארבה** כ' הרמב"ן בחומש בשם רבינו חננאל מעת עתירת משה עד עכשיו אין ארבה מפסיד בכל גבול מצרים ואם יפול בארץ ישראל ויבא ונכנס בגבול מצרים אינו אוכל מכל יבול הארץ כלום עד עכשיו עכ"ל ולא נשאר שום ארבה ואפילו הנמלחים פרחו:

***Arbeh* – Locust**: Concerning this plague, the Torah says: “Locust invaded...Egypt and settled within the territory; never before had there been so many nor will there ever be so many again.”²²⁸ Yet we know that there other plagues of locust in Egypt at later times – but none like this one.
