**ומפני זה היה תחלת כו' אנכי כו' לא יהיה לך**ואמרו במכילתא משל למלך שנכנס למדינה אמרו לו עבדיו גזור עלינו גזירות אמר להם לאו כשתקבלו מלכותי אגזור עליכם גזירות שאם מלכותי אינכם מקבלים גזירותי היאך אתם מקיימים כך אמר המקום לישראל אנכי ה' אלהיך אשר הוצאתיך וגו' לא יהיה לך אני הוא שקבלתם מלכותי עליכם במצרים כי שם ראו בעיניהם יכולת הבורא יתברך כי לו לבדו הכח כו' אמרו לו הן אמר להם כשקבלתם מלכותי מעתה קבלו גזירותי וכו' עיין ברמב"ן שלכך נקרא מצוה זו קבלת עול מלכות שמים ע"ש:

**G-d is one** -- that only G-d is truly one, but nothing else is truly one under any circumstances, and even if we say on something that it is "one", it is not really one, except in passing (relatively), rather it is more than one as will be explained.

**שאם לא יהיה לך בן כו'**ר"ל לכך מחלקם לשתי מצות. כלומר אם יהיה לך בן תלמדם לבנך ואם לאו ודברת אתה בם שלא יהיה הבן סבה ועילה לקריאתך התורה אלא אתה חייב לדבר בם אפילו כשלא יהיה לך בן:

**שאין נמנע מן הלב ומן הלשון מה שהם כו'**ולכך אמר מצוה זו של ודברת בם בשבתך וגו' כאן אחר מצות הלבבות והלימוד כי בהם אין שום מונע מלדבר בם ולזכור אותם תמיד בשבתך בביתך וגו' אבל בשאר מצות האברים אינו יכול לקיים אותם תמיד ועיקר הלימוד יהיה בשביל שתהיה רגילות לשונו בהם תמיד ומביאה לידי זכרון הלב ולא יפנה וכו':

**שויתי ד' לנגדי תמיד**כי זאת היא תכלית כל המדרגות במעלות הצדיקים והחסידים שלא יפנה לבבו מזכור האלהים תמיד כי אין ישיבת האדם ותנועותיו כו' כמו שהביא הרמ"א בש"ע א"ח והם דברי המורה וע"ש שהאריך וע"ע לקמן וכ"כ בספר חסידים סי' ל"ה:

because this is the primary goal of all the levels of the Tzadikim (righteous) and the Chasidim (pious) - to not empty one's heart from remembering G-d always, as the Rama says in the first halacha in the Shulchan Aruch, which are the words of the Morey Nevuchim (Maimonides' Guide for the Perplexed) part 3 chapter 52, see there, and see also later on, and the Sefer Chasidim siman 35.

**ואמר צרור המור וגו'**כלומר אהבת דודי לי תמיד כצרור המור הלן תמיד בין שדי שלא אשכח אהבתו לעולם כן ה' אלהינו נתן לנו מצות תפילין על הזרוע ועל המוח ומזוזה על הפתח שלא נשכח אותו בשום זמן ולזכור אותו ולאהבהו בלב שלם בכל עת ובכל שעה:
