**כל בית ישראל מצווין על קדוש השם עד בין שנאנס בתוך עשרה בין נאנס בינו לבין עובדי כוכבים.** פרק אין מעמידין (ע"ז דף כ"ז) ופרק בן סורר ומורה (דף ע"ד) וביומא פרק בתרא (דף פ"ב) ופסחים פרק כל שעה (דף כ"ה) . וענין קדוש השם בתורת כהנים בפרשת אמור אל הכהנים ובסנהדרין פ' ד' מיתות (דף ס"א) ובספרי ונקדשתי בתוך בני ישראל על מנת כן הוצאתי אתכם מארץ מצרים על מנת שתקדשו שמי ברבים וכן כתב ר"מ ז"ל בס"ה:

**כל מי שנאמר בו יעבור ואל יהרג וכו' עד ולנערה לא תעשה דבר.** לשון ספרי הוא ומקצתו במסכת ע"ז פרק אין מעמידין (דף כ"ז) ונחלקו עליו רבותינו בעלי התוספות ואמרו שאם החמיר על עצמו והניח עצמו להריגה נקרא קדוש:
