וכי מה היה צריך למשה לכתוב פסוק זה אלא לפי שנשבעו אברהם עם אבימלך. זה הביא גם רש"י עוים מפלשתים הם שעמהם הם נחשבין בספר יהושע י"ג ומפני השבועה שנשבע אברהם ולאבימלך לא יכלו ישראל להוציא ארצם מידם, והבאתי עליהם כפתורים והשמידום וישבו תחתם עכשיו אתם מותרים לקחתה מידם. ועיין חולין ס' ע"ב:
