ד"א ויקהל הוצרכה פרשה זו. התחלת המאמר מובא בלק"ט, ועיין ילקוט ריש ויקהל שהביא בשם מדרש אבכיר. רבותינו בעלי הגדה אומרים מתחלת התורה ועד סופה אין בה פרשה שנאמר בראש ויקהל אלא זאת בלבד אמר הקב"ה עשה לך קהילות גדולות ודרוש לפניהם ברבי הלכות שבת כו'. ותמצא המאמר בליקוטים ממדרש אבכיר שהוצאתי לאור:

וכנגדם מ"ב מסעות. עיין רש"י במדבר ל"ג א' ובהערות ותיקונים לתשובות הגאונים [נדפסים ע"י חברת מקיצי נרדמים שנה שנייה] בדף ב' סימן ד' העירותי שבהגהות מיימונית ה' ס"ת פ"ז ה"י סימן ח' הביא וז"ל: במס' סופרים יש מ"ח שיטין צריך להיות בס"ת בכל דף ודף כנגד המסעות ע"כ. אולם לפנינו במס' סופרים פ"ב ה"ו הנוסחא בשיטין נותנים טעם כמסעות ארבעים ושנים, וכך הוא הנוסחא הישרה כי בכתוב לא נמצא אלא מ"ב מסעות, ולפני הרא"ש והגהות מיימונית היתה נוסחא מוטעת במס' סופרים ארבעים ושמונה:

מה בא ללמדנו. בלק"ט מתוקן הלשון וכך איתא שם מה בא ללמדנו, לפי שנאמר פרקו נזמי הזהב אשר באזני נשיכם בניכם ובנותיכם והביאו אלי (שמות ל"ב ב') אמרו ישראל במה יתכפר עון פריקת נזמי הזהב מנשותינו בנינו ובנותינו אשר הערמנום מתכשיטהן לעשות אלהי זהב, אלא כיון שהקהילן משה להביא כסף וזהב למלאכת המשכן הביאו כל אחד ואחד מביתו ומכיסו, שנאמר ויבואו כל איש אשר נשאו לבו וכל אשר נדבר רוחו אותו הביאו את תרומת ה' (פסוק כ"א) ואחר כן חזרו גם על תכשיטיהן נשיהם בניהם ובנותיהם ליטול בהם בזרוע שנאמר ויביאו האנשים על הנשים:
